I need to swap a speed sensor on my RE Interceptor (bike) and the cable goes into a block connector with several others. Question is, how do you get a connector out of a block connection?

Car related as there's one on it.
My dad has had this quite a long time, and has finally decided he wants to get rid.
It's not pristine, but it is old (pre 20's possibly) heavy and big.
Thing is, we haven't got a clue what to do with it.

Not sure he fancies dealing with eBay pond life, so that leaves getting it appraised by a dealer?

Is £150 a reasonable price to expect to pay for a NOS wing, delivered, for the 305?

I can't afford it, but I haven't found any (that won't require bending back into shape and some rust repairs) for that side other than this one.

Just seems a bit mad given the cost of the car, but then this is the nature of old cars.

After a good quality repro tax disc for my Triumph, who sells the best repro ones and what month should it end if my car was registered in August 1968?

I know you could get quarter tax discs back then so will it end Oct 68 for a 3 month tax disc?

This is a technical questions - how do I change my username? I'm looking to change it to reflect my car page on Twitter....

Yes if it's 3 months, but wasn't it 4?

I believe you need to PM a mod and ask them to change it.

Anyone any good with old VAG injected stuff?

The Burd's golf is running grumpy - big misfire. Videos of fault below. I have my suspicions re fuelling and ignition/timing

Those aren't tyres, they are elastic bands :)

What do you call a " block connector"?  A picture would help.

I am putting my E32 735i back on the road after a 1 year rest and it needs its power steering fluid topped up, the hand book says it also does the brakes somehow as well but when it comes to type of fluid it it says "BMW service stations know the factory approved grades". Anybody know for certain what fluid I should use?

Pentosin CHF 11S  for suspension after OCT 1991  and steering (cold regions), ATF Dexron II E for steering except cold regions, DOT 4 for brakes. I'd go with Pentosin over ATF.

Yup, seen those thanks, just thought the price (50p a unit) was a bit high for stuff that costs very little to post...

Which Ford is this from?  14" trim, dated 1996.

Wheels 004.JPG

I think they were on some fairly base (maybe dealer special edition) Escorts.

EDIT- Just had a quick look and seen a couple of Escorts with these fiited, Encore and "Silhouette" models.

On some of these aeros the bit covering the hook is on a hinge - lift it at the arm end and it should expose the wiper arm hook.
