Share a Shiter: A go in mine for a go in yours?

I've just been thinking about the Drive Dad's Car thing, which is a good idea for the Normals. 

But we're made of sterner stuff, so I was thinking - how about a Drive It Day where we meet up somewhere (eg VanStation!) and swap keys. 

We'd have to sort out insurance individually, I guess via something like Tempcover, but I'd be happy to let my Maestro go to a Shiter for a couple of hours in return for something else interesting eg Cortina. 

We could jazz it up with Twixes, coffee and some sort of photo op showing us driving the vehicle of our dreams*.

Whaddaya think?

So just take a set of car keys from the bowl and if there's a twix/coffee/passenger in the car, just see it as a bonus?

I’d certainly be up for something like this. I am covered on driving other cars but would obviously get temporary cover for more than just a bimble up and down the road.

I didn't know this because I'm not Northern enough.

Tbh @grogee you can drive mine anytime you want. Chances of it making it from the north west to northamptonshire are less promising however 😆

Sounds like a plan. Might need to be after Xmas though. Is there anywhere down your way for a meet? 

We generally have one now and again at the Truck Stop near Cannock which is handy for everyone. 

Anyway, put me down as interested. Have, at the very least, a choice of V6 Vectra B or 3.0 V6 Jaguar S-Type for peeps to try.

Irwell Vale soap factory. Near my house. I actually worked there at the start of my working life. Now derelict unfortunatly but not as bad as that photo of the warehouse makes it look.
