Hi there. I decided to join here after seeing a thread about a Fantasy Green Skoda Fabia and as such my interest was piqued since I've wanted one for ages and I'm a sucker for the mint green colour Skoda used. I've got a dark red Mk1 Fabia 1.2 myself and I'm glad to be here!

Afternoon all, lurking since lock down and thought it about time I signed up. Very much enjoying the content so wanted to say hello and share a couple of pics of my "fleet"

Cheers guys! I’ve had the Senator since around 1998/9 and with all the crap we’ve had this last 18 months decided to wake it, as it’s been asleep in the garage since late 2007. Fresh gallon of go go juice, oil & filters and plugs cleaned, new battery & started first time😃

☺️

Morning all, just joined the forum after being a regular lurker for years. Really enjoy the threads on this forum.

Currently have a 1991 Mercedes 190d 2.5 and a 2002 S210 320 cdi so i like old diesels without that inbuilt obsolescence device known as a dpf.

Found my way here after I bought borne's base spec escort. My self, brother & father got big list of kit ranging from the chevvy to the mk3 supra drift spec car. I love my self old fords.

41 Chevvy with jag XJ6 running gear, yes all of it. Nearly finished.

roKDsYO.png

54 Morris Oxford from the land down under, came with a few tons of aussie dirt. Paint is a tad still wet in this photo.

My daily

My other 'daily' that is a zombie built from the parts of 15 different vehicles and counting. Could really do with being finished already.

The list kinda goes on... so theres that lot and the mk3 supra, lifted green lanein' landie, 2.1 pinto sierra, the v8 swapped lexus, mk3 fessie, mk5 escort estate... oh and the ford pop small block chevvy gasser.

Christ we have too much shite.

Wow! A great choice of cars, the Senator is very nice,  the Bermuda Blue  Cortina GL is fantastic, it looks stunning, especially with the tan interior.  Absolutely beautiful! It would be great to see more pictures.

Cheers guys for the nice comments @Shite Ron, @Eyersey1234 and all you others. Just realised I’ve only taken one other photo of the Cortina, please excuse the finger!

I’ll try and take some more tomorrow as I need to get it out to try and fix the leaking garage roof🙁

Meanwhile, the Spectral blue Pearl Senator is wafting wonderfully, but in dire need of fuel😬

Mk1 Fez. Yes please! Oxford Ute is gorgeous - intrigued to know more about both.

Hmm, not sure I’d be very good at that. Mrs Wibble is amazed I’ve signed up to this as I’m not on any other form of social media and not very good with the tech. I’ll give it some thought though, thanks🤔

I had a 24v senny in that same colour! I miss it dearly, best car I’ve ever owned. I need more pictures and a thread on it so I can rub my thighs vigorously.

Hello all! Forgot to keep checking back to see if I'd been approved for membership so was a pleasant surprise to try logging in today and find I've got in!

I joined mainly because I found a thread on Daihatsu YRVs with someone who appeared to be very knowledgeable, but from a cursory look around it seems like I'll quite enjoy it here - I've owned a fair amount of tat, shite, awful classics, dismal retros etc. in my time, but at the moment I'm down to just a couple of Mk1 Twingos, the aforementioned Daihatsu YRV, and a Eunos Roadster (among other more modern things that don't belong here). I imagine the Twingo is the only one people would want to see so you can have a photo of it, count yourselves very lucky!

I'm a motor trader/Japanese importer by day as well, so more than happy to help out with anything related to that side of things!

Would you have sources for JDM parts? Japanese car parts seem to be available to the home market for a lot less than they are to the UK market (even after taking into account shipping costs and taxes).

We like rusty mx5s and Euni (what is the plural of Eunos (Eunoses? Euni? Eunoss?)

I've only ever really dealt with whole cars, I dabbled in parts a few years ago but it's a surprising amount of work - I do however have a few contacts for parts importing who are fantastic, and often run shipping containers over so if you're not fussed waiting, the shipping is a lot cheaper!

I can 'name and shame' them if you're interested :)

Hi Everyone,

Found this forum via online game 'MotorNation' and look forward to contributing. I've always liked older cars and am into bangernomics - often keeping them going far too long!

That yellow Cortina was there when I last lived in Hull in late 90s. I was amazed to see it still there when I visited last year
