Ooh hello! Please tell me the Clark & Lambert treadplate is still on the n/s sill? Would appreciate a pic of that if so and, of course,  to hear about your fixerating.

Interested???  We've got a P6 in the logo!  Hell yeah we're interested.

Well hello.

Bob here - Ex pat now working out of Mountain View, CA.  'bout 10 miles from San Jose on the west coast of the states.  What you guys call Silicone Valley.  I heard you guys mentioned on Twitter a few weeks ago so thought I'd take a look.

As my handle suggests, I'm predominantly interested in 1950-1970s trucks, but also love to see the cars of my youth being preserved.

Welcome aboard Bob!  Do you happen to know any sources of used Cadillac parts?

Have you tried ebay.com, rather than .co.uk ?

Postage is likely to be prohibitive I guess, but that's the joy of running cars from the other side of the tracks.  😁

You're absolutely right, of course.  I guess I'll just carry on making-do and mending...

Hi everyone I've been  lurking  around here for a while so it's time I signed up. I am a weirdo living in the deep woods of southern Norway and spend a lot of  time on old tractors and cars. I have a broad interest in everything from cars to trucks / buses to Soviet / Eastern Bloc agricultural machinery to everything in between. history and more. I am also dyslexic and not native English speaking so sorry if things get weird at times. When it comes to cars, there is not much interesting happening right now. But of previous cars I can mention 2 highlights. One a total shitheap of a Seat Ibiza which was roll painted with hammerite paint and consisting mostly of filler and had a rust hole in the floor so big that I was afraid that the dog would fall through.  And the other a tired Volvo 740 estate in faded red with hammerite black roller painted roof after a blasting accident that I lived in for a short period and drove to northern Norway through Sweden and Finland on a long trip in 2014.

Hello!

I cannot believe I have been on the internet for decades yet only just found this wonderful forum.

I'm currently having a spell of bad autoshite luck. My beloved Puma dumped its coolant and warped the block earlier this year. Its now with a member of Prac Classics as a engine swap project. Following that was an E39 530d which aquaplaned off the A3 as it had some Lingalonger Ditchfinders on it. Now on a high mileage E91 3 Series Touring which recently decided to give it's ECU a bath and awaiting a fix.

In time hope to own various Longbridge tat, especially of interest being the R3 200/ZR, the 75, Aggros, MGF.

Oh and developing a worrying interest in French stuff...

Hello all. I've been aware of this forum for some years due to Hubley-Nutsworth, but only got around to making an account a few months ago. I then promptly forgot about it until now. Still, here we are.
Like, I suspect, most people on here, I am serial car hoarder/discarder. I've owned 20 cars in half as many years of driving, and still have 5 of them. They are as follows:

1988 Toyota Corolla. Aggressively beige, old man base spec. Picked it up at an auction with only 37000 miles on the clock. Drives almost like a new car. Definitely the most quintessentially shite of my collection. Using it as my current daily, though looking to replace it with a Merc 190D.
IMG_20190503_184533.thumb.jpg.0fc3155d42decf6e8a9e7d66e5508418.jpg

1997 Nissan 180SX. Imported this from Japan myself in 2018 as I noticed S-body prices were going stratospheric. Naturally I went for one of the cheapest I could find. It has, unlike the UK S13, the legendary SR20 engine, though, because I penny-pinched, it is a non-turbo model. Still, it looks the part, has not been modded out the arse, and is totally solid. Super fun to throw around corners. I've set it up for grip and slight understeer, which confuses every male under 30. The headlights go up and down. Definitely a keeper. At some point a turbo installation will happen.

1966 Ford Mustang. Bought this five years ago for absolutely no reason. Had been imported months earlier and the chap who owned it decided he had too many of them (ie, about 10). Originally a poverty spec straight-6 model, has been fully converted to a 289 V8 at some point in the past. Restored semi-competently in Kentucky 15 years ago. Used it as my daily for most of 2016, because I had a short commute and am also a masochist. Great fun to pose in, but cooling system is currently shagged. Contemplate selling it every now and then, but doubt I ever will, it's just too damn cool.

1966 Morris Minor. My most recent acquisition, last September. Completely stock and unremarkable when I got it, improvements are underway, including new wheels (pictured), a full suspension rebuild, a Ford XR3 disc conversion, and finally a 998 Mini Cooper engine build for it, using a 948 block as a base. This is my third Minor, and I bought this on a whim because it is identical to my first, much-loved, Minor that I had at university, and sadly wrote-off in 2013. Time and wisdom will hopefully keep me on the blacktop this time around.
IMG_20210622_204253.thumb.jpg.7e53ab21b75a9b99c2427a101cf60e08.jpg

1992 Eunos Roadster/Mazda MX-5. The car I've held onto the longest. Bought back in 2014 after the demise of my first Minor, this is also a JDM car, though it came over back in 2001 when they could be picked up literally by the boatload in Japan for buttons. Extremely well-equipped for its age, drove impeccably, headlights go up and down. Was my only car for a year and a half. In mid 2015 it developed some suspension and rust issues, so I shoved it in my garage and thought, "I'll fix it later". Six years from then, "later" has yet to arrive, but seeing as the prices for mk1 MX-5s have risen greatly in that time, I've decided to keep ahold of it until money and facilities allow me to give it a light restoration.

So that's my current fleet. Each car will no doubt get its own thread as and when I get round to working on them.
