Right, after much much thread making, information and so on, I have finally found the thread I've been told to look for.

The link in the first post doesn't work to put yourself on the map, so maybe this thread should stay? I'll delete my old one.

As I can't see the map, is there anyone, currently on this site in or near Cleethorpes or Woking who can pick up a set of floor mats for me and forward on? Happy to pay for postage/time.

I would but I have absolutely no idea how to. I've just gone to my home address on the map and poked things but nothing happens.

Likewise. I think it has to be done by the original creator of the map.

I'm pretty sure I added myself. Help says:

Add a place

1. On your computer, sign in to My Maps.
2. Open or create a map. A map can have up to 10,000 lines, shapes, or places.
3. Click Add marker .
4. Select a layer and click where to put the place. A layer can have 2,000 lines, shapes, or places.
5. Give your place a name.
6. Click Save.

but I can't see the marker.
