Hi everyone.
I'm a 17 year old from the UK (Cambridgeshire) with an interest for old Hondas and quirky Japanese cars.
Currently I own a 2006 Mini One R50, a fine car for the young boy racer in me, and have previously owned a 2008 Ford Ka (proper poverty spec 😃)
Have included photos of my two trusty steeds (former and latter)
Thank you @EightMegs for the referral to the forum. Looking forward to posting more here

Well, the current plan once my year of insurance on the Mini is up is to look at getting a 80s-90s era Honda. Going to be daily commuting for work so planning to look out for something comfortable; I've seen a few Accords circiling about on eBay recently which have taken my fancy, but unfortunately as I say I'm just playing the waiting game of claiming my first year no claims which is up in August.

If something gets listed and really sticks out to me before that time, then I might take a look at swapping early.. we'll see.

Welcome. My first year of insurance is also up in August having passed then. Had my wee red Škoda nugget since March though. :)

Been called out by keith777 as a serial lurker here, hes right, been lurking for a few years. I can blame him for my interest in shit cars because hes had a few! My current shite assembly consists of a kia sorento, passed down, 2.5crdi i think, auto, crap on juice but serves well in pulling our caravan. Actually 2 caravans, ones a fluerette unsure of age but will be up for sale soon. Quite unique as a folding caravan. My other is a 1993 abi ambassodor. Sorry, this is a car forum....Managed to bag 4 alloys and good tyres of worldofceri for not alot, serving very well. I run a peugeot partner van on an 06 plate, would love to try veg but i think i have wrong pump?! Its solid and reliable though. You may be able to tell i no nothing in regards to mechanics but this is a humble place from my view of lurking! Great to be a part of this!

Hello AutoShite Collective - firstly my return key on the laptop is broken so please excuse my horrible formatting. Long time lurker - FIRST POST! I'm Twisty - 32 years old with a serious chod bothering history. My first car (gifted) was a Citroen Ax 1.5D  with no MOT and a rotten rear beam. Things have progressed speedily from there: Mk4 Escort 3dr 1.1 Bonus (£180 purchase cost?), Mk 4 Escort 3dr RS Turbo Replica with XR2i engine (£600), MK5 Cortina 2.0 (the most rotten car I've owned thus far), E30 318i Coupe High Lux (High Lux denotes electric windows,  sunroof and snazzy side stripes (value for $$$$ = HIGH, BMW got on the commercialization of "features" very swiftly!); stop gap 1996 Clio 2 door as the BMW was broken - big surprise there!(was scrapped after an alternator replacement at home went bad (the Clio) ...If there are only 2 wires and you connect them the wrong way very bad things occur...   then a 1986  E30 316i 2Ddr (coupe? I don't want to get into this conversion lol)  should never have  sold that one; 2 owners and 77k milage when I  got it. I went sensible after this - 1998 A4 B5 1.9Tdi - quite uneventful transport device.(apart from crashing it, buying back from insurance company and repairing at home to return to the road) - moved to Australia got a Mazda B2600 Ute (pick up), then an E30 325E, then a E28 535i. Currently living in London rocking a 2002 Suzuki Swift! I'll try and get my phone linked up soon and post some photos! Peace to you all and kudos for having such a cool community!

Hello - I’m new here, judging by the username (I think I set it i have no idea how this works) you may tell I am quite fond of Rovers. Mainly 75s. I have an Old English White 75 2001 and used to have a blue one, which is now brown bread. Anyways, bye bye

Hello all

I've lurked on here in the past but keep reading about the site on pistonheads and am back!

I run a Vauxhall Signum as a daily and have a mk2 Astra, not sure how to post pictures since the demise of photobucket. My favourite thing to read about are the unloved forgotten and cheap cars that need a bit of fettling to keep going. I'm off for an explore.

Handily, it's just drag and drop if you're on a laptop/PC, or using the 'add files' button if you're working off a mobile. A good bit less hassle than a third party hosting site, I've found.

Can you tell I'm impatient for Mk2 Astra pics?

(Welcome, btw!)

Hopefully not my old one; apologies if so.

Great selection of shite owned, sounds like you'll fit right in (and have a tale or two to tell).

Another newbie here, I’ve been lurking a while though….

have had my fair share of shite cars, and have a small fleet of things I find interesting (still shite though)…

vw t25 westy, ‘81 air cooled, 200k miles, holiday wagon

vw T5 kombi, ‘06 2.5 auto, 165k miles, family transport

Jaguar XJ40, ‘94 3.2s, 60k miles, sentimental value, probably never sell it.

jaguar XE, ‘16 2.0d auto, 20k miles, personal daily.

Rover Metro, ‘94 1.1 Tahiti, 56k miles, recent 40th birthday gift from the wife and kids! (current favourite!)

always lots going on keeping them going and improving them, so may start a fleet thread at some point!

anyway, really enjoy visiting the forum and reading about like minded people tinkering with old cars that I thought only I was interested in! Thanks for having me!
