It is good to know there is still good in the world after a rather inebriated Markeh left his phone in an Uber and has managed to get it back within about 10 minutes!

Working through a charity quiz  last night. All the answers are towns.  One of the clues was "human being's piece of land"

I worked backwards from "piece of land" and thought "garden". My first thought for the "human being" part was "lady" then realised my mistake 😂😂

For anyone who can't be bothered to work it out, the answer is "Mansfield"

Human being -> mankind -> man's field -> Mansfield. Sounds like a great quiz idea.

My Niece’s Panda needed a passenger airbag switch, which Fiat wanted over £100 for. Her Dad did a part number search to see if any other manufacturer used the same switch and found it was also used by Ferrari! Price from them? £16.99! She was chuffed to bits with her switch arriving in Ferrari packaging🤣

The Google translation app got well tested and was very good at speech to text in it's conversation mode .

Looking to hire a couple of vehicles over the next couple of months for a trip here and one over in the states.

Obviously every advert on sites I'm browsing is now showing me car rental stuff..

Spot the odd one out, and where can I hire one!?!

EDIT:

Got these from a skip this morning where we're doing the plumbing in a kitchen. Eldest daughter has expressed interest but told me where to go when I asked for £500. She'll be getting them for nowt no doubt.

That's incredible that someone would put those in a skip. Always worth having a look.

That's Linux Mint installed on the desktop pc instead of win10 , it now kicks arse and even runs Canva without braking a sweat instead of dying .

Printers work , scanner works , access the network ok and sees the nas .

Just user training to do .....

The wife has not noticed , just presses the icons for web or mail .....

A Win so far

This was going to be a grump but now it's funny...

Week or so ago in Tesco, on the valentines tat display, I saw matt black mugs with the legend "You'll do" on them. Mentioned to the wife how horrid that is, I'd be appalled and it's a pretty rubbish joke too.

Yesterday they'd sold out (I thought... don't remember the shop being sideways either) so I was even more appalled that it had been wildly popular!

except no, not sold out recalled because there's a hidden risk of accidental maiming too - may shatter if used with boiling water.
