This stuff used to be advertised in the motoring press some 15-20 years back, "recommended" by Quintone Willyson.

This was my favourite, involving Russel Crowe and plenty of people who should have known better in the Australian government.

Front cover of ‘Modern Classics’ magazine said about picking up a Mk1 Mondeo from £3,000. £300 perhaps not sure I’d be paying 3 large for one...

Mk 1 Yaris spotted in Brighton.

I laughed when I saw the zip ties holding on the remains of wheel trim...

and laughed even more when I went around the other side...

That pill in the fuel tank thing is still advertised in at least one classic car magazine that really should know better....

Just looking through some screenshots I'd saved

this was posted just after Roger Moore had died

I always liked him, especially in The Saint and The Persuaders, though many people didn't/don't/can't stand him/deride his acting ability. Doubt I'll ever make that good an impression on someone, though I did have a very thankful and gracious letter today from a customer of over 30 years standing, who is moving.

I'm a moderator on the UK Peugeot RCZ owners forum. We are having a lot of spammers recently.

In the user bio section people can fill in a small bit about  them including their occupation. Today we had a guy join from the Bahamas (Well, Russia actually) who was an Astronaut!

His interests were Politics, libraries and wine tasting.

Probably took him longer to type his  bollocks out than it took me to ban him ?

Oddly enough there is an Iranian woman lives at the back of mine and has had a Crossfire for ages, it began having starting problems so she has swapped it for an RCZ.  They did have one a few years back when they were new.

They also have a very tatty Ka :)

If it's a petrol and you hear it clattering in a morning, get a post it note write "timing chain" on it and post it through their door.

Sadly not true;

We had a long detailed and very boring email about why it wasn’t.

After quitting the Rac last year i now have a new job that involves working on mobile compressed air systems and also doing a bit of calibration of hand tools.

I was presented with this nearly new Norbar 330nm torque wrench today.

The guy claimed it was accidentally run over by a small truck...

But when i looked at the twisted drive it was fairly obvious some animal had been using it as a breaker bar.

That'll be about a £100 out of their pocket.

Trumping my previous "what makes me grin" for the day.

For the first time in ages I've just had a mug of Bovril, and dunked a slice of bread and butter in it . I'm a man of simple pleasures.

Marvelous, might go to bed now.

Bought a house, well had offer accepted and its off the market.

Exvellent first step to ownership. Is there a chain? You haven't exactly bought it until the contracts are exchanged and it's not off the market until then. Unless you are in scotland.

We had our offer accepted in April. Took til Last week in August to complete.  18 weeks from offer accepted to owning. With no chain.

I used to work for my next door neighbour’s Ford dealership when I was younger, valeting and prepping cars for sale as a way to earn some pocket money.

back in 2004, a Focus ST170 appeared for sale at said dealership where I worked and I instantly fell in love with it. The colour and the seats along with the bloody quick powerhouse all made me wish I could sell a kidney to fund the purchase of it. I drove past it most days and dreamed to own it. Then as always it was sold, never to be seen again....

....until just now, a chance scan of eBay revealed the very car I had lusted after all those years ago.

Sadly in a far far worse condition than I remember. I have asked the seller for a couple of parts off it, I would like the front plate for my shed but I can’t see them agreeing to that, they must already think I’m mental by telling them that I once cleaned it.

Anyway it made me grin for finally finding it after 15 years!

The self healing car. The ZR lost all gears in Dundee traffic forcing me to ditch the girl friend much further from work than she'd like and limp it home by starting it in second gear. Re-entering our car park all the gears came back without warning and it's been fine since.

And now you can forget about it for 3 months until it does it again!

Had a stupid bet with one of those on-line gambling sites. Checked about 15 minutes before the end, and they'd 'suspended' one of the game of the four I'd had in an accumulator. Anyhow, rang them up and went off my tits a bit saying it was a fix that this one game had been suspended and basically just said they're were having me and everyone else off, blah blah blah.

I was on for £2,200  (from £1.94 stake) so a bit uptight. Anyhow, cashed out at £247 and was really happy as the bet would have crashed 5 minutes later. Then it turned out the game I was moaning about to them was suspended due to a problem with the lights at the ground, so rang the betting place back to apologise.

TL:DR. Bring on the lager and vodka.

Today has been a good day in Vulgalour land.  Princess head finally done and collected.  BX parts I needed* bought for reasonable spend.  What started out as a fairly frustrating day, ended up being pretty neat.

The name of the game? Sherlock Holmes Consulting detective. No sound on silent? No shit Sherlock. Don’t rate their chances with the game much.

The Princess forum doesn't often have non-Princess content, and when it does, it's still Princess content.

It's supposed to hark back to things like the Pony, it's just a bit big and, well, Princess-y looking from certain angles.

Today I popped into Ryde to ride the train. Nothing exciting about that? Well, the train is an 81 year old former London Underground train (Northern line):

Absolutley brilliant, as transport shite as you can get. Sadly it's due to be replaced in the next 18 months so if you want to experience this, get down here as soon as.

This was at the station too!

Then there was the Bus Museum which I sadly missed as it was closed:

Then, on the way back to Mum's I spotted a steam railway! I live next to the Severn Valley steam railway so it was great to see this!
