and another.... whilst driving along in an MGB..... 'We park in the belly'. Oh god, this is great :)

'Sea urchins in the pockets'....... this is killing me PMSL.

So, what do 'cuttlefish' have to do with porting?  Whoever did the subtitles obviously took an utter shed full of illicit drugs whilst putting it all together. Bloody funny though.

Now candles and a coil of help are being installed. This is a fucking riot!

Ah, boogies, I know are the ht leads or plugs. Not candles.

Bougies are spark plugs. IIRC the translate takes what it hears and tries to turn it into words, so makes some mistakes at times. Cuttlefish in French is seiche which sounds like sèche (dried).

I’m sorry if I was stroppy last night, I wasn’t offended by anything, just annoyed and it was another nail in the coffin of an upsetting couple of days. Plus drink.....

I was surprised at you being irritable. You're normally the epitome of good manners

Currentrly sans mot and showing a fair amount of lacquer peel on the spoiler and a bit of grot on the damaged wing, I reckon replacing it willbe easier than reparing. Oh well, it's nice to have it back as a light winter project for me and  back in the bosom of A/S.

My work's do yesterday was pretty epic. Managed about 8-8.5 hours on the razz and nearly bought a Vauxhall Corsa.

To all the cyclists getting offended, please chill we're just yanking your chain :-D

I snapped my chain the other week. Nearly lost my BALLOCKS on the handlebars as I fell off.

Radio 2 is the absolute fucking pits.

It has become pretty much MUST AVOID radio. Now they've signed up that Ryland bloke with the shitty teeth, who can't speak properly. Aye. Perfect for radio!

Fortunately, Radio 3 seems ideally suited to the Rover, so that's pretty much become my default station on the move. Unless they start with the opera. Sod that crap.

Things that make me grin?

Having a play around with coloured low level lighting and long exposure photos.

Came out way better than I expected.  Might actually put some time into some better ones outside.

Oh...and those are snapped on my phone, by hand.  No professional camera or tripod.

The camera in this thing keeps surprising me.

As described in my blog, the recently replaced vacuum pipes on the diff solenoid had been fitted the wrong way round, despite being different lengths so difficult to get wrong. Fitted by the MOT garage who repeatedly failed it and charged for replacing brake pipes, but managed to replace the pipes with identical to OE pipes, complete with that 15 year old patina......

Sounds like a quality garage. ..

Not as much as the people who get offended at others being offended.

Its a thing isn't it. I don't think they even realise they're doing it.

It was mother-in-law's birthday last week so we had a big family gathering over the weekend.

She loves puzzles and quizzes and has apparently always wanted to do an escape room, since they became a thing.

So we got one for her as a birthday treat, and all joined in. I confess I wasn't really looking forward to it, but it turned out to be great fun. I don't want to talk in too much detail because spoilers, but we had to really work together and think logically to get through the puzzles and make our escape.

U-Escape in Bournemouth, highly recommended if you enjoy puzzles.

That bloke is representative of EVERYTHING that's wrong with the television (and now radio) today, absolutely cannot abide the moron.

Still listen to R2 for Mr Bruce, sandwiched between R1, sorry.

I had a mk1 mx5 in my eBay watch list, it ended last night and eBay sent me a message with similar* items I may be interested in. To be fair, it is the same colour :)

Done it a few times now….. also great for hangover cures. I was so bad I exited the taxi and threw up and walked the rest of the way - escape room lights went out, I 'looked' for clues on the floor..... sadly failed the mission but felt a lot better for it!

Sober times - it was truly taxing and great fun.

EDIT - First gig as MC in a while on saturday…. went well and everyone had a great time. Missed being up on stage running events and having a laugh. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Couple of company gigs to do in the run up to Xmas….. just for fun. Not being associated with the organisations you get away with almost anything. Brexit currently providing a lot of material for over here!

New rims, tyres, tubes, chain, cassette, rear mech, bottom bracket, brake pads and cables. Just need a set of brake cables to finish. I thought I ordered a set but turned out it was just shifter cables.

Once they're changed, put the new bar tape on and go for a ride. Really looking forward to it as it should ride like new! A car comparison to what it's like, would be having an engine+gearbox rebuild, new shocks/springs/bushes, new tyres and new wheels fitted to your car.
