What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

What's the story with that? The second one looks well done for a restamp and leaving the original one on is just down right odd.

Nope, this is the GDPR in full effect. I have a list of 1400 financial advisers to contact but have to make sure none of them are registered with the corporate telephone preference service before I call.

Of course the format we use for our numbers is different to the preference service file so an auto dedupe won’t work. FFS! I am altering our files to match theirs for future automatic checking (the pref service list changes every month)

It’s not difficult, just sooooo much data on screen. And it’s not a quarter of a million, it’s over two million as I found more files yesterday afternoon. Excel doesn’t seem to be able to cope with that many lines of code so i have had to spread the file over four worksheets. It is very slow and likes falling over!

I'd offer to process it for you, but gdpr would stop that...

Things that don't make sense, part no. 1,345:  A ship (presumably) full of Spanish cement heading towards Manchester on the MSC, today.

If only there was a cement works, say 45 minutes from Manchester. Just like the one at Hope for example....

My birthday today. Had a very nice time driving my very exciting Fiesta quite a bit and went to the Haribo shop in Pontefract!

Of course a trip to Weatherspoons was also worked in :-)

I just know him as 'Hairy Dave...'

Exactly.

I’ve only met him recently at the GSA and CCC meetings. He’s told me he was Ragnar, but his wife calls him Dave. He said he used to be a bit of a hell raiser but has settled down now.

Well, having spent four hours this afternoon on it, you would be ok, with appropriate data processor and data controller agreements.

Stupidly as a small business it seems the directors (me ) need to write to the staff ( guess who) to tell them about the information the company holds and how it is used. We don’t deal with the public thankfully so that’s one chunk out of the headache and everything else can be covered with contractual or legitimate use processes.

Yes that colour is one of the nicest they did too.

As I wandered to Moss while waiting for my hire car, I passed a chap parked up sitting in his MK2 MX5. I forgot how much I really like them, especially inside. I'm awfully tempted to get another.

I mentioned previously that I quite liked the idea of another MX5 to my wife. She gave full blessing to the idea of getting another.

Nope - one patch on an outer sill and make a new bracket on the lower arm where the shock mounts . Front legs have been done before but it’s not fantastic . Can’t grumble at that price tho . Hood is in great nick and doesn’t leak either .

Will prob use it for the summer then move it on

Wait, another wildhearts tour?! Saw em at the start of the year in Leeds!

At work earlier and a super clean R33 Skyline GTS-T pulled up alongside me at the lights, piloted by an aging East Asian man, clearly living the dreams of his youth.

No body mods except a set of Rota wheels.

Sounded glorious pulling away.

Yeap thats the one they are all getting hour long sets plus the headliner gets 75 mins.

Sort of they are doing the Britrock tour as the full band. CJ and Ginger did an accoustic tour which was great and got me back into them after last going to a gig in the late 90's.

Used to see stuff like this a lot in Birmingham. Asian folk tend to pool their finances, so a nice sports car belongs to the family, not the individual. Not a bad way of doing things really.

They do the same with houses don't they. I have several Asian friends that live with their whole family in a huge house. Personally I think they are mental, I couldn't think of anything worse but they probably look at me, skint as owt, squeezed into my 3 bed semi, trying to pay for everything myself like I'm the mad one.

I tried it but the Asian family I tried to move in with just called the police.

I mean, I don’t mind free usually.

That looks like a student's 'prize' for coming home from the pub

There’s this local church that’s on a junction, they have this sign that never makes any sense.
