There's so much going on here but the standout feature for me is the red brake caliper. Just why?

I've been watching some old Crimewatch robberies and raids from around 1986 on tele via Youtube. There is some proper old rammle on there. Lots of Fords though, plenty of Escorts and later Sierras as stolen/getaway cars.

One reconstruction was about a lone robber who held up cash vans in Middlesbrough/Teesside areas.

What made me kind of grin was, he'd steal older vehicles like old Escorts or Minis etc... he'd tune the engines so they were better condition than before. What thief does that these days? The cars were never crashed, just dumped, but presumably eventually returned to the owner with a better condition engine than before.

STUNO is NOT a sheep farmer,  There are only cows and Lumberjacks round these parts. And I don't even know any lumberjacks.

They sleep all night and they work all day. Apparently.

Yesterday I went to chod land. Portugal. so nice to see a good variety of older cars. Where as here in Spain we have older cars, but the range of brands is much more limited.

From where to where?  Were there any restrictions at the border?

I chased two banks about PPI 3 years ago, one fucked me off and other said they didn't owe me anything but would give me about £1450 because they were nice guys. Right. About a year ago I set the wolves on them as time was running out, the bank that fucked me off did it again to PPI company and it all went quiet on the other bank . On Friday with no warning just over £9500 arrived in my current account with no reference details except PPI.  On Saturday I got a letter from the bank dated June 1  giving payment details saying I had 28 days to appeal the decision or the case was closed . I reckon the PPI company will be in touch real soon! ?

I'm off all week and there's a classic car auction near me on Saturday, on line only mind. Hmm....

And another lesser grin, my 2000 Z3 passed its test on Saturday. Preparation was checking the lights and adjusting the handbrake cables inside the car. May be for sale soon.

The good old days old motoring offences.

You wouldn't be able to stick them on a DVD or a USB stick for would you?  Do you have the whole series? I've been looking for a particular chase involving a Mk1 Rover Sterling, an original Mini and a Mk1 Espace.

I haven't got a DVD drive in any of my PCs but I could probably do a USB stick. Or I could put them online for you to download privately?

Online would probably be the best idea. Thanks!

That reminds me of a storyline on Crossroads many years ago. Thick handyman Benny had a vehicle that a mechanic in a garage was going to use as a getaway vehicle for a post office robbery. He had spent a long time tuning it up.

The vehicle in question was a Morris Minor van.

No, not that one. Was a few years before this one. But thanks for posting that up-a real blast from the past.

Opens with a shite Maestro ??then other assorted.

I vaguely remember the episode you are on about, I was forced to watch Crossroads up to about 81, didn't realise they tried to reboot it in to the 2000s
