I recorded this footage a year ago.  That pothole is still there, though larger now.  It's been there untouched since at least January 2020, as has the flooding and other potholes along this stretch of busy main road.  It's almost as if Maidstone borough council were on the brink of bankruptcy or something.

even when they repair em they can't do a decent job. WSCC have replaced a pothole outside our village i think 3 times in the past 3 years- every time they replace it it starts opening up after about a fortnight!

Don't record it, report it!

Here in sunny Leicestershire we have a form to complete. You click on the map where there's a hole in the road and a couple of days later a bloke turns up & puts  shovel full of tarmac into it before backing over it in his lorry. I normally enter my postcode as one of the maintenance hangers up at EMA to avoid getting too involved with anyone.

Spray paint a massive cock and balls around the hole (with semen emanating from the crown if you so wish). You’ll find it gets repaired almost immediately. I saw this in Watford a couple of years ago and the council couldn’t have been there quicker, despite many previous reports and complaints.

I'm going to have to do this - I'll never find mirrors in colour. £70 for a new pair or a couple of bolts... no brainer.

My mx5 has 2 bolts from a warrior tank, as I was working at the MODs rebuild factory.  Mx5 parts wanted a stupid price for a single bolt.

Shirley that's not quite right, the cocks should be jizzing into the holes, not out of them!

A lot of places fleece people for the 'repair kits' made of standard bolts and washers (and add £4-5 on for a spring!!!), I'm just going to get some from a hardware shop.

The Mrs sent me a pic of the train that took her from Gorna Oryahovitsa to Ruse, then onward to Bucharest airport.

A fairly uneventful trip so far is reported.

Today in MX5 things, I went to Congleton in my other Civic for some cheapo wheels so I can take my £££OMGJDM wheels off the green MX5, and put them on this Civic.

My mum will get the 13"s as they have nearly new tyres and the four year old Avons it's on now can be the backup set.

Mutha_stuboy has started to show signs of dementia and has been told she may have too give up driving if she fails, there's talk of selling her car, now ideally I like too keep my mums car as she had it from new.. ford ka 2010.. and misses stuboy ask could she have it to do up... I think I'd be footing the running costs.

Northeast is currently turning into a winter wonderland (of sludge). Just picked up two used winter tires for the A6 as I'll take it back to Germany over Christmas (where its going to be much colder and whiter than here apparently). I bought it with a full set but somehow got two flats almost simultanously when parking it in the estate a few months ago...

The Lexus has the best traction control system I've experienced so far. I think the Audi will take over when its near freezing temps though.

The Slab has its MoT tomorrow. Apart from the mouse house under the throttle body cover, and the inside of the car being frozen, all is well. I even managed to fix the number plate lamp... by slamming the bootlid! Here's a moody picture of it.

My mum (82) just gave up driving a few months ago and my thieving sister said “oh  , I’ll have the car , ours has had it”, and she drives off £13k up. She’d “bought” cars from my parents before normally at about half what they were worth, but she’s taking the piss because my dad died this year and he’d at least have made her pay something.  Would mind so much if she hadn’t just spent £40k on a camper van.

Brother on the scrounge for money too as they think she’s a soft touch. Parasites!

For a laugh, I reported three potholes yesterday and the two I’ve driven past this morning already have yellow painted lines around them!

I'm going to a party at the weekend. Instead of spending money on taxis and hotels I'm staying in the camper van where the party is.

I've just been to the shop for a sarnie and the van windscreen was frozen on the inside. 😂

Brilliant. Might put on my thick socks.

It was Hobson’s choice this morning in the minus 2 frozen wastes…

Do I take the one where the alarm keeps going off and flattening the battery (so to stand any chance of getting home again I need to leave it unlocked), the one which has leaked through the boot and now is frozen solid both inside and out, or the one which has two cardboard tubes from the exhaust for heating, is also frozen on the inside of the windscreen and is parked behind the other two.

Remind me why I don’t just go and buy a modern on a PCP again…

Cause a modern wouldn't have preheating so it's already warm when you get..  oh bollocks, I got that wrong

OSF strut pin being worn might explain the creaking noise when I turn the wheel.
