My phone has just buzzed with a YouTube recommendation for this :) Bit busy at the moment, can't wait to watch though.

Awesome Video as always :) was great to see TWC back on the road n Legal for the first time in 14 years! I wonder what the passing motorists thought of this sudden 1970s 3 wheeled bath tub speeding towards them at a great rate of knots :) I cant wait to see it hurtling down the motorway at 70Mph!

why youtube I agree the engine note is Music (to my ears)

Brilliant vid! Although with the camera angle "pumping" the throttle on that last stretch looked a bit disconcerting.

Congrats though! It certainly sounds quite physical and draining to pilot it which is quite sobering when you consider its intended market; how times and expectations have changed.

It needs a stereo installed, and the ONLY song you play as you hoon about local towns is the Benny Hill track.

Or Spasticus Autisticus by Ian Drury

Regarding the hard to drive aspect, you have to remember it wasn't designed for you. It was most often driven by people who had never driven anything else.Aside from the braking I didn't find the one I drove that difficult, but I had been didn't bikes and driving reliants for ten years!

Enjoyed watching that, when itcut out after your first high speed attempt it seemed like classic fuel starvation, as in its using it more than it can pump back in.did it go any better after filling up? Well done on a pretty successful trip, now those hurdles are over you can enjoy the tinkering for improvement side a bit more without the pressure :-)

That was definitely worth the wait. Watching the whole thing with a stupid grin on my face.

Can you source a new seat with arm rests and top seat belt clip?

That video has cemented my belief that the government were simply trying to kill off the disabled population via horrendous car accidents, Scarfolk Council style.

10/10, top shiteing. (Even if you have overshadowed my Acclaim collection, you hippy git!)

Watched that video with a mix of fascination, awe and terror in equal measure. Fantastic to see TWC on the road and legal but I still think you're crazy for wanting to drive it all the way to my neck of the woods :)

Unergonomic wiper switch location......

Yeah...It being on the same side as the throttle does seem rather awkward!

Superb ! What a great video, 55mph looks and sounds bloody terrifying, you truly are a loon :)

If you don't win thread of the year for this, then you must have started a new thread for the spares car's restoration journey.

Best shite news of the year.

Enjoyed the vid. Must have made MOT man's day!

One thing I noticed was that it has no headlining. Is that the case with them all? Real billy basic no frills.

Keep up the good work. I really don't know how this can be topped.

on that vein how strong is the fuel pump? is it still the orig (and old) one?

Watching that video, I felt like I do during a long ride on the moped. I really enjoy it but it's terrifying and noisy too!

Yep. Think some had a trim panel on the rear pillars, but that's it!

Reckon I may well carpet line the inside of the roof on mine to reduce the buzz-box quality a little and reduce the odds of getting condensation dripping on me in the winter.

Remove, dismantle, immerse in thinners over night, clean, reassemble and enjoy.

I fear that Bucks trip may involve 10 AirBnBs for the return trip to make sense

Excellent work,much respect indeed.

I remember the first drive of my long gone Bond Bug that scared the shit out of me too.

Re the faff of having to keep lifting the handle bars up slightly to stop the brakes being applied is there any way in which a weakish coil spring could engineered to take the weight of the bars off the brake mechanism but then be easily over come when brakes are required ?

(Or an oily old bungee cord around the yoke of the bars connected to a big horrid looking galvanised bracket bolted to the roof)
