How easy was it to change the clock in your car this morning?

The Corolla: Switch on ignition so the digital clock illuminates (I think it's a part also used by numerous microwave oven manufacturers), press the 'H' button next to it 23 times. Done.

The 2CV: Doesn't have a clock.

The BMW changed itself, but all modern cars are shit.

The VW will be right for the next 6 months, then it'll go back to being an hour out as it has been for the last 6 months.

Civic: easy, it does itself off the GPS.

Audi: took us 10minutes faffing around in the stupid menu system to figure out how to do it.

MGB: the buttons on the radio where the only clock is, are broken. So I'll need to disconnect and reconnect the battery at midday or midnight at some point.

I didn't bother when I drove the Proton today but it would have been very easy as it's just a quartz clock with hands. The people on here with many cars must spend ages changing all there clocks twice a year lol.

I haven't and probably won't because it's in such a stupid place; right down at the bottom of the center console behind the gear stick so it's basically impossible to use safely while driving along and if I'm not moving I'll just use my watch.

Piece of pee, the saph has an analogue clock, a quick twist of the black adjustment knob and all was sorted

I resent that you think I'd even consider doing that, it was like it when I bought it, or maybe it just started going backwards. You can't prove nuthin'.

Twiddled a button in the Mercedes . Not got in the 2cv yet-that has travelling alarm clock on the vent tray. The fiat will probably be showing BST until I get in it next month.

The Mondeo has an analogue clock with a little button in it (the button also flashes red when the alarm is armed).

I had to hold it down to move the clock forward 11 hours. It doesn't go back.

The head unit I have in it also has a clock... and it had corrected itself!

BX - easy, just press the hour button.

205 - pointless, as the clock only works internittently anyway.

Peugeot Boxer - I can never be arsed because you have to fart about with menus. I leave it so it's right in the Summer which, given it's a motorhome, seems the best compromise.

Press two buttons etc on the GSX14, not done the car yet.

Took me longer to do the programmer for the heating tbh.

Piece of cake on my 205, just push in the knob and turn it. The XM I tend to leave at GMT all year as I never have anything thin and pointy enough in the car to get at the adjuster button.

Posted

Very easy in the mk2 Fiesta, I just left it as the twat doesn't keep time anyway.

The other two might get done, they might not..

Easy on the Nissan, however I always manage to accidentally reset the trip which always pisses me off.

I don't have any clocks.

Just timepieces.

In all seriousness, I don't get to use any clocks, as I have a wife who tells me what time it is. And what time it isn't. Usually twice.

9 button pushes to turn daylight saving on in the Fiat Multipla.

Volvo 940 didn't need changing because the hour hand sits between two hours.

Volvo - so piss easy I haven't done it yet. Hold the little down arrow button to the right of the column, for the desired effect.

Daf - inform the tacho it's no longer BST (simple yes/no) and it does the rest. As long as one's card isn't in the tacho, which I always forget.

Vectra - did it itself.

Frontera- no idea, its in fudhin Carlisle still.

Tata- what clock?

SWMBO makes a proper squirm/squint at her wrist (to see watch)....

I flatly state "clock is glowing at you - in the dash <sweet smile>"

And I get the same "I know <grr glare>"

.... WTF :/

Lexus and Nippa require ignition and a few H button presses. 2CV and Honda don't bother with this clock nonsense. I often find myself missing a clock in the Honda, but never in the 2CV...

Cock! Thanks for reminding me.

Has a little turny dial so shouldn't be too hard, but I think you can only go forwards so it might take a minute.

Very easy,

Mad-Wife-in-The-Attic did it while I drove.

Do you need a calendar for the 2CV to assess the time at which you'll reach your destination?
