beko1987
The Maidenhead one seemed top, I think their a chain garage but run like a local one, depends on the staff, which is good. Ive just been a passenger in it for the first time! The suspensions quite hard, and I put it in sport and made amy floor it and she said it was faster, but it's not bad in non sport mode either! I found the tray under the passenger seat too! Can't wait to clean the fucked either, the wheels may not be so bad under the muck (their still heavily kerbed though), but Amy didn't immediatly shout me down about changing them for other ones when it needs tyres, we are parked next to a disastra on 17" alloys which look quite nice

beko1987
Yes, and the suspension settings (so expensive shock absorbers) and the auto box if it had one, thankfully it doesn't. I did the washer jet mod earlier too
beko1987
Oops, pressed post by accident. Before Pull this bit of rubber off And half the scuttle comes off, which looks handy The Internet says hit the jets to pop them out, so I did, using part of an axle stand which was close to hsnd Old ones off Old vs new I then needed to get a hammer and drift to knock the jets into the scuttle I then dropped one of the old jets down inbetween the 2 radiators, so let's hope the new ones work cos that's never coming out! Bootiful! Mist jets are possibly one of the best things I like about modern cars! Wish a set could be bodged onto the xantia! £4.59 well spent. We also went to Aldi shopping (first time I've really been) and they do 5l of ready mixed screenwash for £2.we got 2 bottles as a test, if it's any good I'll send Amy back to get £20 worth, the xantia will swallow 5l in one hit, the Zafira is 2.5l, and a complete cock to fill! oldcars, mrbenn, tapir and 1 other

SiC
5l Concentrate is £2.45 in ECP with 30% off. I usually use 50% concentrate, 50% water. (unless asda concentrate is shit, which it probably is). I'll try this stuff, and if it's fine then sod it is can go in neat, Saying that it was 7.5 today, bet there isn't another frost this year again and I can go back to a splash of car shampoo in a tank of water... tapir
nice work on the washer jets, lidl screenwash is much better than aldi both in quality and concentration but not always available - think its £5pic over here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1640155 beko1987
beko1987
Now you tell me! We have a lidl too I'm told, when she goes ill ask her to grt some and perform a test! The xantia still has loads if shite asda stuff in it though, will try and use it up this week so I can refill. It also stinks so I think has gone bad, I'll put a sterident or 2 through it when it gets empty then refill

I fitted pug 207 most jets to my 206, that was ace, same fitment though! Hendry
Only thing with Corsa D, Zafira B, Astra H etc is no temp gauge on the instrument panel, I believe there's some sort of test mode you can access on trip computer screen for it to show on there until next time ignition switched off, intact there definitely is as I did it on my old Astra H Design, can't remember how to access it though. Beko Astra Owners Network is the place for Zafira related stuff, a lot of useful content, helpful members, and vast knowledge and a lot of people own Zafira Bs, it has its own forum section etc.

beko1987
Yesterday, I tried to take the splitter off... I want some of whatever this is Because it's stronger than a screwdriver. Fuck me the vauxhall know-it-alls on the forum said it unclip per. Like fuck it does, it's got this amazing stuff either end, then the whole splitter is stuck with foam tape to the bottom of the bumper and that has another bead of silicone around the top... And 2 brackets on either corner which are now in the shed. I made a hurty by trying one of those snap off knives under the lip, it exploded And made the tiniest little scratch ever but my God it hurt and bled, bastard. In the end I just braced my foot against the bumper and pulled the splitter off. I even clipped the bumper back in on the drivers side somehow! Still, looks alot better now. The bumper is absolutely fine, I just need to get the gaffa tape residue off at some point Ground clearance is gr9 now, amy caught it Thursday, and Said it sounded worse than it would have been because it folded the broken bit under. I shan't rush to find another splitter tbh... I rushed that job, mainly because, I washed the cars! Poor meriva watched from the sidelines as the xantia and Zafira got a very quick wash, they were dirty. Xantia hasn't been washed since bub last did it, and I can't remember the last time I saw the Zafira clean when amys sister owned it I spent an hour rinsing both off. Tbh 20 minutes of that was spent making the black trim on the xantia black again I don't have any snowfoam left, so used G101 as their both hardcore dirty, and there is no wax or finish to preserve And went around the tightwork with my 1 remaining good brush, need some more of these I also need new spray bottles, had to empty some dregs of window cleaner out of a bottle for a sprayer. And I missed a few bits too that I noticed today. Never mind. Wheels next This stuff isn't bad, but isn't hardcore enough for the state of these. It found loads of iron contaminent though 8 gave them all a good scrub, then rinsed the lot off and foamed the xantia And did the tightwork. I could have spent hours just doing this (and the day I do it properly I probably will, all the door shuts, remove trim, the lot! G101 is also shit for cabbage juice residue... All rinsed off, I got the strongest shampoo I have And fuck you all and the horses you rode in on, filled my buckets. Sadly I couldn't be arsed to find my grit guard for the rinse bucket, I won't mention that on detailing world... And spent 40 minutes washing both cars! The Zafira didn't come up too badly actually, deep deep down there was something on the paint as the water tried to sheet off. The xantia though, the suds and water went black, and I had to wash it twice as it dried on, so washed one side and rinsed then washed the other side. Whilst packing away, I found some ironx and tried it on the odd wheel on the Zafira, as it didn't come up very clean It found some more shit I sprayed the drivers wing of the xantia as well and it went well purple, but I forgot to get a picture as I was rushing, so I might buy the ironx shampoo they do and see what that's like. Whilst doing all this the Zafira did this... And I need to find a more hardcore de greaser. I'm thinking 5l of Autosmart Tardis is in order... Should the fuel filler area of the xantia have a drain hole? If not it bloody well needs one! But anyway, enough moaning. I didn't dry them, didn't clay, dry, feed the paint, Polish, glaze wax and seal. Just gave them a good wash. It's the first time I've seen the xantia clean in person, I can't wait to do it properly, close up its still filthy as the paint needs sorting £500 worth of cars, cleaned! I put the splitter in the recycling bin And after all that, with the Zafira only having one massive scuff on the rear quarter which will polish out anyway as its some white paint, amy got biffed at some point out shopping today Bastards! I'll Polish it out as best I can and fill it in with a black sharpie one day. Oh, and the Zafira mot is 12.15 tomorrow at Mr clutch! I'm actually not worried, mainly because we have the meriva to fall back on. It's nice having a spare car (not forever though, itll need to go soon if it's a pass tomorrow, it needs a wash first though) Jifflemon, Tickman, purplebargeken and 2 others

beko1987
I drove it in today for the MOT, and you know what... I quite like it... It's nice to drive, rides well, it's actually quite lovely... Gearbox is quite notchy, you have to line the gate up to the mm before it goes in, but it's nice... I'm not sure how to think at life now, it needs to do a vauxhall quite quickly now so I can go back to not liking it... mpg is 26.9 now, but I have a large ill to boot it up to get to Maidenhead so we shall see what happens there! greengartside
beko1987
Well I feel like an idiot for not checking, but it failed on the rear fog light bulb £3.20 for a new one, the chap is doing it now! beko1987
All sorted! Apparently there was confusion as the broken fog light bulb was a clear bulb that had been painted red, which sits behind a red lens... The guy then looked at my cash and said 'oooh, I haven't got the keys to the cash drawer on me". I was an hour late back at this point (my boss was reading this very thread when I waked through the door though so I think I got away with it), and as the bill was £37 all in, I just lobbed him £40 and said keep the change. I then prodded the sport button for the return journey which really peps everything up, there's a noticable sluggishness with it off
