Spotted yesterday, being driven by a young lady who very occasionally looked at the road in between make-up applications.

Today I saw a Dacia Duster Access (appliance white, black plastic bumpers), with the number plate “DUST 73R”.

For the dim of wit, the car is a Duster and the numberplate is supposed to look like it spells “DUS TER”

AUD1 on an, erm, big Audi.

I followed this car once driving between rally stages in Grizedale in about 1989

I keep seeing these bloody vans with 3-letter acronyms as business names like; 'NVD' Solutions/Builders/Whatever and they often have the CA11 plates eg: CA11 NVD etc...

Hope this came out, had to stealth pap it while walking past so the driver didn't see me.

Because we all love a bit of pedantry...

NVD is not an acronym, it’s either an abbreviation or some random letters.

An acronym is a word made from the letters of a phrase or name, such as;

FIAT - Fabbrica Italian Automobile Turin

SCUBA - Self Contained Underwater Breathing Aparatus

POTUS - President Of The United States
