MiniMort Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 These beauties were across from the cruise terminal I boarded: The Pulsars are quite common here - some of them have snazzy chrome grilles with vertical bars! sdkrc and Dyslexic Viking 2
Lankytim Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Parked up in Barrow at the weekend. These are all apparently owned by the same guy who sounds like a bit of a Shiter. He leaves them parked until they get ticketed by the council and then moves them to a different street where they eventually get ticketed again and the game of musical shite carries on forever. I’d love to own that Marina estate. It’s a Mk3 in the right colour and 28 days younger than me. Lush! SteersWithThrottle, MorrisItalSLX, Yoss and 5 others 8

Ibex appear to be a British low volume off road manufacturer (they even have a web site!). I think I have seen that very car about, can't be too many Ibex in the Stoke adjacent area!
egg Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Another spot from my brother. SteersWithThrottle, Dannyk, adw1977 and 1 other 4
fairkens Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Always nice to see an old car being used SteersWithThrottle, sdkrc, adw1977 and 7 others 10
Captain Mainwaring Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Retired LT horsebox. Used to see it on the road occasionally and it looked shonky then. I've driven past this spot loads and assumed they were using it as a shed of some kind, but on closer inspection it seems to have just been put out to pasture.
GeordieInExile Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Own up, which one of you is this? Islington, yesterday. Cherokee and Bluebird. Both clearly in regular use.
Wack Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Dropped on a car show in Seville , thought they were fiat 500s but no Seat 600s with a few Abarth versions As we were leaving a mini turned up , didn't get the memo Dyslexic Viking and Yoss 2
EyesWeldedShut Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Middle of nowhere this afternoon, in between nasty showers: L200 in its natural environment. No idea who it belongs to - not seen it around before. MOT check suggests it was off the road/farm hack maybe for 15 years - currently on 78K. Nowt to do with the silver Landie - just co-incidence. Dyslexic Viking 1
Yoss Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 I thought somebody was being a hero, this was in Central London, near Swiss Cottage, but then I thought it might actually be old enough to be exempt from everything. And turns out it is! It became exempt in June so the proud owner can smoke around in it as much he likes. This has to be a perfect daily driver in London now. sdkrc, LightBulbFun, Captain Mainwaring and 4 others 6 1
Schaefft Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Driving back through the middle of nowhere looking for a cash machine I pulled over rather spontaneously after spotting one only to find this! There's even a Safrane in there! Spottedlaurel, Yoss, adw1977 and 3 others 6
Captain Mainwaring Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Grateful for your efforts of photographing that magnificent selection of shite, despite the apparent risk of getting axe murdered. Yoss and EyesWeldedShut 2

AnthonyG Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Sadly no pics as the driver and passenger were still in it, but saw the first Autoshite spec Tesla today, Model 3 doom blue metallic, 20 plate with very, very squeaky brakes indeed, best and most shiteworthy bit was a dented passenger door, short of straightened out a bit and then repainted with a vaguely matching shade in a very half-arsed way like a student might do with their £200 Fiesta. I suspect someone, either the current owner, or the company that pays for it, will be getting a bit of a surprise when that goes back at the end of the PCP/lease…

There's one or two farmers' late model LWB Defenders knocking around here that are a bit different - that one, another silver in a crew cab configuration with open back and another crew cab in metallic burgundy with canvas/hoops on the back (dealer supplied). The last one is owned by a family who continue to run another two 90" models. Completely outnumbered by the Jap type pickups but the LR owners seem to cherish/own outright whereas most of the pickups now are on three year leases. Older ones like the L200 are not so common but I think that may belong to a guy that is a true Autoshiter and has a moveable feast of three or four pickups/4x4s on the go at any one time. Schaefft Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I've returned during daylight and took more photos. The Safrane has been off the road for 15 years. The Laguna is a V6 and has been off the road for 13. KWhite, adw1977, danthecapriman and 4 others 7

Captain Mainwaring Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Looks decidedly less axe murdery during the day. I bet most of those are well beyond redemption now, especially that R18. I'm sure there must be a good reason why people amass old chod like this and leave them to rot. I'm reminded of that fascinating 'Field of Dreams' place up in Scotland. Ta for going back, great spot!
