One of my uncles was an amateur rally driver but worked for BL ( in IT or whatever it was called in the 70s), and managed to blag a go in the works TR7.

Nice! I imagine it was quite lively. Almost certain that Tony 'The Moustache' Pond was behind the wheel at some point. That's a really good question, I wonder what BL IT dept was called? I'm going to go with 'Data Processing'.

somewhatfoolish Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Amidst the horror of war there are moments of light-ish relief; this family's Mk3 cav hatchback will hopefully get them to Poland or Hungary.

My Uncle left BL and went to the States very soon afterwards, so maybe there’s a story he never told us!
Pieman Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 No photos as was driving, but I spotted a transporter filled with retros on the M1 northbound near Tibshelf services this afternoon - an 1100, a Pug 309, a Rover P4, a BMW E36 and a couple of others I couldn't identify.

Hmm I thought to myself that looks like an Age related plate, so go to the DVLA tab to do some bashing and literally 1 registration mark to the left EDS620B is a plate-robbed Routemaster LOL (bit of an odd one as this RM's mark was originally ALM81B cant see what someone would want in that?) Yoss Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Not sure if this should go in the lazy spotters or parking thread. I mean everyone parks half on the pavement down here but most still leave room for the odd pedestrian. 500tops, Dyslexic Viking, danthecapriman and 8 others 11
