The Vicar Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Our baker here in Rome showed up in this yesterday. He has it from new and uses it for his local deliveries. Spend an enjoyable five minutes chatting away with him; he has an old Giulia in the garage at home too. sdkrc, Quintus, Dyslexic Viking and 9 others 12

MisterH Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Well over the last couple of weeks I have been commuting to Havant and back on the M27 in my Audi 80 Sport. On my travels I have seen several interesting pieces of Shite. First I saw a Fiat Tipo 5 door on the M27 Next I saw a Nissan Sunny Hatch, J reg Then it was an H Reg Mk1 Espace, maroon But to top it all off, coming home on the A272, I saw going the other way (as were all the others) a Mk1 Subaru Impreza bASe, with That grille: AnnoyingPentium, Dyslexic Viking, davocano and 1 other 4
horriblemercedes Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Two Russian police cars on a transporter in Wednesday evening on the M6. Maybe for TV or film? AnnoyingPentium and Dyslexic Viking 2
Somethingfunny Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 A few locally to me. A sad, sad rover 218 (no turbo) at an abandoned house that failed it's MOT for rust 5 years ago, exposed to the elements next to a salted road since then. And also. What the absolute hell is this? davocano, Mrs6C and Dyslexic Viking 3

Any... practical reason why they used Ford? Also, any verdict on the actual camper unit? A Cortina doesn't seem like the best vehicle to convert.
500tops Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 What's the oldest Royal Mail van in your area? There's at least one 58 plate Corsa van I see on a regular basis. Plenty of 59 plates around. Quintus, Dyslexic Viking and AnnoyingPentium 3
iainrcz Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 A turquoise Daihatsu fourtrak. Dyslexic Viking, goosey, 500tops and 1 other 4

iainrcz Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Definitely a metallic teal/turquoise. Never seen it around before. Mot check says blue. Though my blue 407 was apparently silver, so we won't take much notice of what that says.
Austat Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Here are some of my interesting spots from the RACV British & European Motoring Show 2022. To start things off, it was my first time seeing a GS Birotor in the flesh. LHD, imported from Denmark: It was in good company with a Peugeot 504 and a Lancia Flavia Berlina: There was not one but two Borgwards on display, one of them being this very pretty Isabella Coupe: Stag in AS colours, phwwoooaarrgghh... I was pleased to see this Ami again, I saw it a few years ago at an opening of a Citroën dealership in the western suburbs and was very eye catching due to its rarity. I got chatting with the owner, this Ami 8 has a particularly interesting story. It was bought in Paris in 1970 and shortly afterwards converted to RHD by Citroën, then imported to Australia in around 1971/1972 where it is one of two (maybe even three) Ami 8s in Australia. The current owner of this car has had it since 1983! I also saw this Triumph Mayflower Ute, I'm not sure if the ute was genuinely offered for the Australia market instead of a custom one off, but rather interesting regardless: There was a beige Marina, what more could you want (nice brown leather interior too): There was even a Vauxhall Cresta Friary Estate on display! A Wolseley-flavoured Landcrab was an interesting sight to see at the show, most likely a private import as only the plain Morris/Austin ADO17s were sold here. Another rare sight to see, a two-stroke Saab: And there was this delicious stock standard Esc-rot 1300 on display with the Fords: Finally, on my way leaving the show there was this lovely 240Z at the carpark in a very 70's shade of Wasabi green, complete with period correct original plates: catsinthewelder, LightBulbFun, mitsisigma01 and 7 others 7 3
Austat Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I took over 200 photos of the cars there, let me know if you want to see any brands that might of been there and I'll post them here.
