bigstraight6 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I’m on holiday in sunny Cyprus at the moment, I’ve only the one spot so far near to where we are staying but it’s quite notable in the shape of a couple of seemingly abandoned motors, the Merc is immaculate under the dust...... DVee8 and Sudsprint 2

Cyprus seems to have loads of cars brought over from Britain to do nothing other than deteriorate in the sun.

Didn't look as such; Datsun was really very clean and the SEC on the back of the truck looked mid restoration and not rotten. Actually would love to know that Cherry's tale; they were really a common thing here that had disappeared by the mid 90's; the wheel arches and inner arches on this were absolutely mint and somehow original looking. quicksilver Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Not at all shite but an unexpected thing to see being used as an car on a wet morning. 1950 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith by James Young, originally owned by George Formby. Kudos to the owner for actually driving it. And a Bentley a few days later. They really are classy old things aren't they? keef Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Anyone spotting in Lancs? @Charlie Croker @The Moog @NorthernMonkey And know any more about this one? :- HUM 154 ✗ Untaxed Tax due: 1 May 2009 Incorrect tax status? MOT No results returned Incorrect MOT status? Interesting that it shows Date of first registrationMarch 1994 & Date of last V5C (logbook) issued10 April 2008 Last seen in Colne, Lancashire Apparently HUM***G is an age related issue That would explain the late date of first registration. It's an EU import in cumulus grey. Possibly from Portugal.
MiniMort Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 More spotting! Hoorah!!! We start with an MG ZT-T Monogram which looked very nice if a little... loud. Next up, a Lotus Excel. Some classy shite, I'm sure you'll agree Not so classy but still very cool is this 1986 2CV in this 'custom' paint style. Then we have two Volvo 700 series estates, both of which have the early 90s facelift. Sudsprint, Marina door handles, LightBulbFun and 1 other 4
MiniMort Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Next up a slightly blurry action shot of a Cavalier Then a rather tidy Reliant Robin LX An MGB GT with 7 previous owners... And pure shite itself, a Polo Harlequin! michael t, LightBulbFun, sutty2006 and 3 others 6

It's a moderately rare 3 door variant. Don't know how many of these were made actually... 300 series discoverys came out on the L reg. I owned one around 2007/8 ish in 3 door form. Now own an N reg 3 door.... still a rusty pile of crap. MiniMort 1
Yoss Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Parked in the corner of the local B&Q car park this afternoon. Nice rusty wing. And I took this shot to show the non-shite in the background. Not nearly as interesting. Sudsprint, SteersWithThrottle, Marina door handles and 4 others 7
