It's absolutely worth reporting it.  Firstly if heaven forbid violence ever did result (not necessarily just to the neighbour), if there's prior history of threatening behaviour on file from this individual it makes the life of the police a lot easier to get things moving quickly and to help make any charges stick because it's not just a one off in incident.

Also this sounds like the sort of crazy individual who they might already have their sights on but short of sufficient probable cause to actually intervene.  A report of them threatening an elderly neighbour to the point they fear for their safety could well be exactly what they need to kick things off.

Make absolutely sure though that if they at any point feel that they fear for their safety that they call 999 without delay.

Plus any attempts at criminal damage by having bottles/ nails being placed under Hazel's tyres need reporting..

I'm not that bothered by the cunts now the aircon is gone. Just get her swearing at her kids drifting thru the wall. I've ordered myself an electric guitar and am on the lookout for a fuck off sized amp. As I have no musical talent whatsoever they're going to love to join me on my learning journey.

Check out your local free ads for someone giving a set of bagpipes away! 🤣

Tonight I have signed up to the local gym.  That's not the grump.  They have a fitness app I would like to use, it is available easily enough through the Google or Apple Store.  I am lumbered with a Google device so that's the choice.  Only I can't get it to install.  Hilariously, when I try to log in to my Google on the phone it tells me the password is wrong.  I use the exact same password on the PC, no bother.  It's not flagging up a 'unknown device' or similar at me, it just refuses to work.  Then it decided to make the page for actually downloading on the phone go so slowly as to be unusable.

I'm also told this is normal and people are okay with it.  That can't be right.  I thought the whole point was the convenience, and so far I can think of only one instance when having a smartphone was convenient and that was only because I didn't have my dumbphone with me at the time to make a phone call.

Scammers reaching a new low today:

Someone my wife knew has recently died - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-68435343

So she gets an invite to his funeral online, but the website wants card details to verify identity, but that no payment will be taken. Next thing is she's getting a call from the HSBC fraud department saying that the scammers are trying to take money! I'm guessing they must trawl social media for people who've died, and then go after the friends and relatives.

I think they should be traced , lined up against a wall and a large tower pc inserted sideways ...

For some reason I've started watching Warhammer 40k videos on YouTube.

I'd assumed my spotty nerd years were 25 years in the past..

Inevitable is unfolding on Twitter/X

Chris Pollitt has another episode of depression. Crowdfunder tries to raise a few bob for him. Accidentally raises nearly £20,000. Car is quickly restored and immediately on the market at a chunky price. Folk feel a bit aggrieved.

Anyone who raises an eyebrow will be quickly shut down.

I try to see everything positively, but it all feels a bit charlatan.

Is he ok? Obviously he blocked me on X but it looks like he had a full blown episode last night and disappeared. Everyone frantically panicking.

Weirdly, it looks like all that free money hasn’t helped with the root cause.

If anyone here knows him, I hope he’s ok and is now getting proper help. Proper help, not cash.

Bird shit on my car today.” Big deal “ I hear you say “what’s unusual about that?”

Well I was parked for about 10 minutes and it looked like it had been through a car wash run by sea gulls. There would have been less if I’d parked at Whitby and spread my fish and chips out on the roof.

Indespension hitch locks are actually quite secure if you don’t have the keys

No prizes for guessing how I know this.

These cheap shitty cables have given me nothing but trouble, and the site I'm working at is full of the fucking things.

The connectors are so shitty that it was causing my tester to fail them, cue:

Earth cont: Fail.

*jiggle connector*

Earth cont: Pass

Oh good, I'll just double check it...

Earth cont: Fail

Gets a bit boring after the fiftieth time!

Paint, it’s shite nowadays. Wtf is going on?

I’m decorating the hall & landing, used Dulux (so not cheap crap) it’s magnolia over what is already magnolia, so no massive colour changes & literally every surface needs 3 coats (some bits 4) & same with the woodwork. Tin says ‘one coat’ yeh right one coat my arse.

Agree.  I bought 'proper paint', undercoat and gloss, Alkyd, not 'water based' and I am familiar with it skinning over overnight, usually jut cut round the skin and lift it out, but this stuff (again Dulux*) was like porridge and trying to use it was hopeless.  I had to go and try and buy womens stockings to strain it through.  Good luck with that!  Had to get vegetable bags from Lidl to strain it through.

* not my first choice, far prefer Johnstones paints, even if it does come from the Leyland factory now.

Just done a room with Johnstones paint. Walls with emulsion , excellent. Wood work satin finish , peeling off already.

Because like most things nowadays nuns & kittens will die due to the stuff actually doing what it's supposed, therefore you have to buy several times as much which obviously doesn't ad to landfill.

Anyone else having issues with Autodoc ?

Twice now, they've emailed me to say my parts will be delayed, that's like 2 or so weeks delay 😅

Astounded that we've had no grumps now for almost 48hrs.

Allow me to contribute that I ordered up a custom-fit blind, which arrived two weeks ago. On fitting it, the mechanism appeared to be jammed - and after much head-scratching, on closer inspection I appeared to have found the issue...

Uh-uh.

Company were very apologetic, agreed to put a replacement set of left-hand end caps in the post for me.

Nearly two weeks on, no end caps. But that's maybe not surprising, as we've had no Royal Mail deliveries for the past fortnight either...

Seems that management at our local sorting office has managed to alienate their posties to the extent that there aren't any left working there now.

People starting a sentence with the word so.

e.g. So today I went to wherever.
So this just happened. Best of it is, in the same sentence they will probably shorten a word because they can’t be arsed to type it when they already added one that shouldn’t be there.

So my grump is people who post 80% of their posts having a dig at people in the grumpy old man thread without a hint of irony.

Remember how I posted about a month ago about having a tooth extracted?

Guess what just happened today?

The first one was right at the back and mostly filling, so I don't really miss it.

The one today was in the middle, and was a several year old root canal that had run its course. It fucking hurt when it came out!
