The grumpy thread

Need to stop being so bloody PC and stop worrying about people's feelings etc.

Crap spelling I can tolerate to an extent - you can still see easily what a wrongly spelt word is (and I make mistakes too) but fucking Facebook talk can fuck right off. It's spreading too.

In her case I'd say it's intentional too. Able to spell "mechanic" but spell "done" as "dun" FFS

I don't have any of this facebook shit. Theres too many mouthbreathing morons on there who are too busy worrying about what everyone else is doing. I find poor spelling an annoyance, as soon as I get a message through on eBay or Gumtree that's badly worded, it goes in the reject bin.

The two above things seem to be a common denominator amongst timewasters and fools. As you say people worry too much about upsetting others and we end up in a state where we can't do anything for fear of offending someone. If I don't agree with what someone says I don't go off saying I'm offended - demanding some form of apology. As they say 'if you set out to please everyone, you'll achieve nothing at all'

Sounds a shite situation mate. Damned if you do damned if you dont. I have asthma but nowhere near as bad as yourself.

What eBay and Gumtree need is a plugin to detect and block any bid or question submitted from a mobile phone or tablet.

Well that would be me screwed buying on ebay seeing as i dont own a pc or laptop

Can't really say someone posting pictures of their sister and then people weighing in whether or not they'd like a go on her or not is our proudest hour,  but what we can take from this is Jakebullet definitely needs to move out

I never said I was proud!

I think the point I was trying to (crudely) make is that she's not a fat whale or whatever it was she was called that I can't be arsed to scroll back up and check. I understand that her very existence annoys JB but there's a definite way to solve the aggro.

PEOPLE OF ESSEX!!!!

Simple servicing and maintenance of your vehicle will help improve lifespan, economy and reliability. Especially reliability. That way it reduces the chances of your vehicle giving up the ghost at a major intersection during rush hour and making everyone else's journey home take three times longer!

Also stop driving like twats and you might drive into each other a little less which could prevent sitting in lane three exchanging details as the queue behind you gets longer.

Having moaned I have basically guaranteed myself a karma based FTP tomorrow haven't I?

I'm practising moving out this weekend. Cottage Whitby-ish with Kinky girl, WCPGW? It's a much better plan than hers of going to Portugal in the summer.

I think I'm just scared that in 2 years time I'll have no money 'cos I've bought a woman I no longer like a house. Change is difficult.

What?  If YOU buy a house with YOUR money, it will be in YOUR name - unless you choose to do otherwise.

And yes, change can be difficult.  It's called LIFE.

Absolutely, you need to do this on your own and get KG along for the ride (pun not intended, but it's quite good so I'm leaving it in).

You're not "practising moving out", you're having a weekend away. That's like walking out to the car and calling it training for the olympics.

On the Single & Sad thread there are folks discussing if/how/when to walk away from a wife and young family with no money. Leaving the parental home isn't even close in terms of difficulty, it's just part of growing up. Same as acne and pubic hair.

Change is fun.

It's training for the olympics to me. Easy for you lot who've been there n done that. Last 3 weekends away have ended up with me spending most of the time shitting for England thanks to off the scale anxiety.

Anyways, boring you all now. Appreciate plan should be work towards moving out, and will work on it.

I am with you chompy. Due to my wife's cancer I am no longer working and being at home all day is a pain . I can't go far in case my wife needs me . I am not complaining my wife is more important than my needs. It's just that how people can sit and watch telly all day I don't know. I was going to decorate the house but the paint smell made my wife sick so I won't be doing that. I have took all the wheels off the crv and painted all inside the arches and undersea led it has well. I used to read a lot so I have been to charity shop and got some crime thrillers and I shall have a go at Reading again. I have also bought some bits of 1950's repro furniture for cheap. I can sand them down and re varnish them , if the weather gets drier so I can do them in the garden. There is such a thing has adult ADHD . I think I may have it has I can't sit still. I also hate winter. Have you thought about volunteering some where . Like a local food Bank or something. Just a thing to give you a bit of structure to your day and also meeting new people.

Should've been in work 20 minutes ago......i've got the pedal in the carpet.

Sadly it's the clutch pedal, just waiting for tesco to open so (i hope) i can buy some dot 4.

It's only dropped an inch from the top off the resevoir so hopefully i can just lob some in to get enough of a pedal to get to work.

Orl voxhalls etc.

Start off in gear & rev match, it's a skill worth learning anyway. I once got back to Sussex from mid Wales like that.

Posted

If it's a vauxhall corsa/meriva/probably everything 2000-2005 it'll need the right fluid level, also, has the pipe that takes the fluid from the master cylinder to the clutch popped off?

Years ago I was fettling Amys old corsa C and knocked off an innocent looking 'breather' pipe. 3 days later when the clutch went I realised it actually took all the fluid to the master cylinder. Fixed it in halfords car park, scuttle off, wiper arms off, alot of blood and cuts later got the slippery with brake fluid pipe back on, topped it all up and with a few pumps of the pedal it was fine.

I used to drive my old 1.4 zx by rev matching, was fun. Can't seem to do it in the xantia, it wont come out of gear unless the clutch is down and I'm not forcing it

Good luck!

I'm going to need it i've had to boss on the phone going apeshit, i've been told to get a taxi in and take the 3.5t beavertail home. Fuck that for a game of soldiers i work 30+ miles away!

When it stops with freezing rain i'm walking the 3 miles to halfords. Tesco only has screenwash, all the other car stuff has been replaced with 'christmas stock'.....cunts.

If your in High Wycombe/Maidenhead I'll take an early lunch, otherwise best of luck!

What a swear word your boss sounds. That happened in my last job, I walked a mile in the rain then turned round and phoned in sick for a week with a cold.

It makes me realize how lucky I am in my job, when I was stood by the xantia after it slipped the cambelt my boss just said no worries, mornings annual leave sorted keep him updated, then I got home at 3 and worked until 6, nothing more was said!

Same when the rear height corrector fucked up, morning annual leave sorted, and applause when I made it in 5 minutes late in the afternoon after fixing it!

I love being free of the rat race that is the commute. I live less than a mile from my work, so just walk/cycle and always know exactly how long it'll take me.
