Fuckers. I had one of those from a similar PPC. They at first upped their 'demand' after I didn't pay up and did lots of threatening, then offered to reduce the amount if I paid it and then offered to reduce it even more but I've just ignored them. It's been nearly three months since their last round of threats. If they want to take it to court I'm game.

F*cking Vodafone. I got annoyed at having constant texts from them trying to sell me extras, so opted out of texts, thinking that would be the end of it. Only they then started trying to call me to sell their shit. I've never answered the phone to them, recognising their 0800 number and ignoring it, but it's hugely frustrating. Last week my mother got hold of my phone and changed the settings from vibrate to ring, and of course the Vodafone bastards tried calling me today in the middle of a lecture. The top volume ringtone made everyone turn and stare at me, great.

I'd really love to meet whoever was banging on a tin tray (that's what it sounded like) in our street at ten past four this morning, when my alarm goes off at 5.  We sleep at the back, so I got out of bed and looked out of that window first, then decided it was coming from the front.  Access to the front window is a bit restricted but I managed to get a look in one direction, as far as my Volvo.  By then the noise had stopped and of course there was nobody about.  Memphis, meanwhile, had said nothing: not one bark, and she sleeps downstairs (but also at the back).

I went back to bed but totally failed to go back to sleep.  Whoever it was, thanks a fucking bunch.

While I'm here... I went to one of my customers this morning, as usual.  And as usual, he was rude, offensive and arrogant.  It's normal, he's always like that, I've had 15 months to get used to it.  One day I'd just love to be there when he does it with the bloke who really won't take it, who replies in the only manner he will understand.  (No, officer, I have no idea what happened; how the deceased came to be lying in a deep pool of his own blood with his head in the display fridge.  Not a clue, must have happened before I arrived.)  They never learn, especially not from people who just smile sweetly and wish them a good day, with all the sincerity of Tony B-Liar.

Thank you steveandsandy1979 for being a timewasting fuckwit. If you bid to buy something on ebay, make sure you have the money. I don't expect to be hassled to sort out collection only to be told on the day of collection that your sick pay hasn't turned up and you can't pay. Fuck right off tosser!!!!

OK, if it's a train, it's still not pleasant for the driver but at least there's some degree of removal there and they wouldn't actually see it happen.

I would probably have guessed the same at one time - but a few years ago I found myself having a difficult and unpleasant conversation with a train driver who had just been involved in such an incident. They did see it happen, there was little degree of removal and they were extremely traumatised.

Fucksticks and ARSE Biscuits....My bastard crown just  fell out AGAIN.   That's three half days off fuggin wasted now in the piss-stinking waiting room listening to shrieking kids and yapping muvvas.   Not to mention an arse-raping on the credit card for my denplan excess.   Piss on you snickers bars....

According to my team of internet lawyers private parking companies like ParkingEye are a bit more proactive about taking people to court, but it's all easily defeatable. Ignoring is an option, but if it does go to court it doesn't look good if you haven't appealed or tried to sort it out.

Interesting reading,

This guy actually gets tickets deliberately to piss them off!

Perhaps we should all add this to our watch lists?  There may be a 20p stuck somewhere...

;)  :D

Shall we bid it up to ONE MILLION POUNDS!

I'm working the late shift and catching the (usually brilliant) east coast line home. However the last train has been delayed every time I've caught it. Tonight I reckon I'll get home for 2am, Arse.

The mobile version of this place has been playing up for me as well, so I've had to install tapacrap, which I dislike.

Oh and I'm tired and have sore feet after running around after muppets who can't follow simple instructions.

Simply win one of his items and when he asks you to pay copy and paste his own email of excuses and send it to him.

I did something like this before, but for added amusement I set up a separate account, registered to the home address of the messer. So not only would my feedback remain intact (this was back in the days when the seller could leave negatives), but if eBay investigated it would appear like he was bidding up his own items

Likewise MO, hope things continue to improve.

I'm in a narky mood today because something I ordered for FATHA_DUGONG_BIRTHDAY hasn't turned up, despite paying extra for it to be delivered on a 48 hour service (the quickest they had available) last Tuesday.

This morning I had the misfortune to drive from Canterbury to Whitstable and back. The car wasn't the problem, it ran beautifully. The problem was the abysmal state of the roads, potholes everywhere. The other thing is the amount of speed bumps in the area. The council seem obsessed with installing those awful speed bumps that are like a lump on each side of the road. These do absolutely nothing to slow traffic down, as bloated modern cars are wide enough to straddle them. My Austin A35 is so narrow that 50% of the time I can drive through the middle of them, if there's nothing coming the other way. But the Somerset is too narrow to straddle them, and too wide to go through the middle, which means I have to crash over every sodding one, which can't be doing my suspension any good. Kent County Council, simple solution, stop installing these fucking useless speed bumps and spend the money instead on repairing potholes. The roads around here are beyond a joke.

Don't worry AD, it's not just Kent!  Cumbria's just the same, and I can't remember Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire or Greater Manchester being any different.

On a related note, it's now ten whole months since I applied for a Disabled parking space outside our front door.  Finally we've had a letter saying it's been approved and will be done "some time in March or April, depending on the weather."  Which could be an entire year after I gave the council a cheque.  Lovely.

Changed the battery on the Connect Van.

Now the radio won't work, needs a code number.

Bought a spare key last week. Bloke at Ford dealer did not then explain that the ECU will have to be introduced to the immobiliser key by a Ford gadget for £50. (Because I only have one key).

This sort of thing is REALLY ANNOYING and makes me hate the modern world.

If the radio has an M at the start of its serial number I think they're available online if you know the right website to go to. If it's a V I think you're fecked and it needs a Ford dealer, but I could be wrong.

+1 on the state of the roads, don't get me started, Glasgow has some of the most decaying roads in the whole of the EU apparently. There are several roads I drive on regularly where you have to devote FAR too much attention to dodging the 6" deep+ craters rather than watching for pedestrians & other assorted nutters. And yes, they still have the cheek to spend money not on fixing them, but installing more of these f***Ing speed bumps.

I'm sure it's no co-incidence that my last car broke both front springs.

EDIT: this seems to be the software for the Ford radio decoder. http://www.freefordradiocode.co.uk/fordm.html

Got a "where is my item?" Block on my PayPal and money on hold etc

Explained I thought it was being collected

Sent the item for £12.50 ebay had automatically put in a postage amount of £4odd

Took the financial hit and.... PayPal account still frozen

I'm skint and need the PayPal money in my account, account is frozen, easiest thing to do.... Refund buyer and account gets unblocked, money transfer yay!

Every time I visit family in the home counties, I'm shocked by the roads there. I can't quite figure out why the roads here in N Wales are for the most part pretty good, with few potholes and regular resurfacing, when a supposedly wealthier area can't seemingly afford to employ even a couple of blokes with shovels. Especially when you consider how much heavy agricultural traffic the lanes round here get, and all the lorries running on and off the ferries, I'm actually really impressed with how smooth they all are.

Stuff can take a while to show on the MID, Aidy flux used to be well slack about it. They seem to have sorted out their act now, I amgine they got some uber grief from people who'd been pulled over unprepared etc.

If you have the certificate and it's got the correct reg down, just take it with you when you drive, I wouldn't worry if the rest of the car is legal enough to withstand getting pulled over.

FWIW I drove an absolute copper magnet MK2 golf gti (with illegal as frig carlos fandango super wide wheels and the rest) daily for 3 months until "just out of interest" I checked and found it wasn't on the MID. Apparently Flux had just not updated it when I changed cars.

The email copy of the certificate didn't materialise either, nor has the paper copy yet. There will be an angry phone call today.

It was so much simpler when I could just walk into the insurance broker's office in town, they were as cheap as the internet quotes right up until they closed too.

The police will generally call whichever insurer you are with if you get a tug, to confirm if the vehicle is insured. Granted it doesn't sort the inconvenience of getting pulled in the first place, but at least you won't lose the car.

Yes, but what do they do if they've stopped you outside office hours? My insurance company doesn't open at weekends for instance.
