if its the one I think it is it was for sale in Essex so you would have thought he gave it a decent look over before dragging it to Wrexham

You'd think so, but a fool and his money are easily parted.

Don't see many of these nowadays, especially in this condition.  Nice colour, too.  Looks like a bit of a bargain for someone:

I get this too. She's right though, one of my fleet is 100 miles away in my sister's garage, one is in a £60/month lockup and one is on our driveway which is only just big enough for two cars.

Its a problem with messenger I think. I have had it where once you send message the link goes dead. If its the blue Punto the ad is still live when I click the link

Yup  - now I'm on the laptop I can see that the ad is still live and also that my laboriously typed message has been sent.
See what 'appens.

you should still be able to see messages and any replies on your phone through the messenger bit, its just the link to the ad seems to go dead. all very odd

"Car is completely original."

🤦‍♂️

There's no way the front wings are original.

Thats cheap! and the MOT history looks very decent

https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/results?registration=LP61JCZ

although its got a rather amusing advisory , I know you can get quite a few people in one, dont think it makes it a bus mind LOL

@warren t claim/ @chancer

if you dont mind me asking whats your thoughts on this?

to me its got the feeling of too good to be true, especially with the low milage

but if you think it might be genuine, I might call up that insurance company that I was able to get a quote from a couple months back, and take things from there

It may have been clocked every year for tax reasons.

Buy on condition, not mileage.

Mine is showing 289k, service history puts it around 450k. Feels and drives like the one i had around 2010 that had a genuine 90k on it. Agree with @warren t claim  buy on condition. If it has decent test and is not riddled with rot then its a safe bet. How will you get around the ULEZ? Thats the reason these things are getting as cheap. They are no good in your neck of the woods now

yeah I did wonder such, especially if you look at the wear on the interior/drivers cabin (zip tied on foot pedal rubbers etc) that gives me high milage feels

a bit frustratingly although its only a few miles away from me, because London thats actually about an hour away still, so its still a fair old jaunt for me to go have a look at it, but my brother is still game to come look with me

yeah the 8 months of MOT and its cheap price is whats most appealing

(ULEZ is not applicable to me until the 24th of October 2027, because of the Disabled taxation class exemption)

I appreciate the inputs from both  :) especially on the buy on condition rather then milage, Im just a bit worried if its had a hair cut every MOT, what else might be dodgy/bodged but I guess thats the Autoshite version of "how long is a piece of string"

ill see about ringing up insurance tomorrow and see whats on offer, obviously no point bothering the seller given the high chance of it falling over at the first hurdle anyhow LOL

Eight months is long enough for a TX to deteriorate from solid to terminal.

If you get 8 months driving experience from it, then scrap it to get a bit back, then its worth the money. Less than 100 quid a month depreciation, if you look at it that way

It's not as if he'll be working it either.
