But if it’s genuine, I’m coming home in a mini tomorrow 🤣

The ad's gone now, but amongst the alternatives it gave me a Fiat Tipo with 65k for £995 or a Mazda MX-3 for £1000.

That Mazda is a megabarg at 3 bags.

That chassis is a spitting image of that on my first LR, last seen on a trailer being towed away to live on a farm in Perthshire. The current one has a galvy chassis for obvious reasons.

Fair enough, 'Starting to corrode' but not as rotten as fuck, patched a decade a go & rotting through again  - like almost every other Sirion I've ever looked at!

Hmm, think I might go to Lisieux this weekend...

A bit of an oul pray to St. Thérèse whilst you're there....?

It's nice... but is it £1250 nice? I'm not sure, I'm completely out of touch with prices. Very local car to me, I see it about often.

Current owners husband is a vehicle technician, specifically an MOT tester.

*That’s a polite way of saying the owner is shagging the mot tester*

What was it they said, that a cobbler's children are often the worst shod?

I'm still kicking myself for missing out on a dirt cheap one of those during lockdown.  It kept getting relisted and I thought "as soon as restrictions ease a bit I'll go for it" but then some bar steward got in before me.

Not sure I'd want that one though, being a '49 I think it'll still be on beam axles and with the less powerful 2-litre engine.
