Not sure 48 years old counts as a "modern classic", but I suppose it's closer than an M-reg Fiesta or some of the other tripe that gets labelled as "classic" nowadays.

Edit: unless things have changed dramatically since I had mine, the seized brakes could be fun to sort - brake parts for the early cars seem to be pretty much unobtainium.

It's a 230 though, and similar examples of 230TEs without the MB-Tex are in the high £1ks. I don't think it's much more than £2500. For £3000+ I'd want a 280 or a 300TE.
