lesapandre
Go slowly but nicely...not expensive and lots of space. This is the sidevalve version for those that dislike OHV and speed. With Gert and Daisy in the back you could hold up holiday traffic for miles and have lots of fun. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224097424633 Designed by Raymond Loewy Studios. Just look at the dashboard. Column change gearbox to wrestle with while you smoke a pipe. Rare survivor - most of these were scrapped in the 1960's because of rust and sloth. This is quite an early one and appears to be running its original trafficators which could make changing lanes on the M25 tricky but deeply rewarding. Nice old thing that has clearly been loved over the years. Repainted but I think that subtle gold is an original Humber colour. Humbers have a difficult time surviving overall given their lumber characteristics, RUST and lack of image as well as spares dearth. Probably more left in Australia and New Zealand of this type than here? A heavy and over-bodied car but charming. And you can spend your leisure hours decoking the side valve engine. As viable transport deeply dynamically flawed - but as an expression of eccentric independence fantastic - and now immune to bothersome bureaucracy. Amazeballs. https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/x/x/x/2398497.html Just 8,000 bucks for this fantastic machine. I'd love this. a close friend of mine had one of these, it was amazing, as computer geeks we loved that it was a 1980s computer on wheels more or less but that was also a bit of problem because well its a 1980s computer on wheels and all the electrical fun that came with that!, and some general parts fun (I remember doing some parts hunting for him, because it used some sort of weird accumulator sphere for part of the braking system, which IIRC was also shared with some Jags or something such so prices where £LOL if you could even find one) in the end yet something else went electrically wrong with it, he parked it up and got himself the best 1997 Lincoln town car (last of the 2nd gens) he could find as a reliable commuter to work and back gotta keep wafting along , thankfully that was not the end of the Reatta last I heard a friend/room mate of his fixed the issue with it and is currently running around in it Dick Longbridge, eddyramrod, egg and 1 other
egg
I believe the touch screen was removed in later model years (according to Doug) in typical GM 'project drive' style, I wonder if that improved reliability as well as reducing cost.
