Sounds like the challenges are mainly cosmetic; nothing nasty in the last MOT and its had some mechanical work.

A Volumex HPE is definitely on my bucket list.

I was a little disappointed with my old HPE VX, the engine was superb, but I found the slightly shorter Beta spyder handled much better.
Personally I'd love a VX coupe, despite also being a serial 3 door shooting break fetishist.

If you do get it I have Breadvans old HPE ie as a spares car.

Looks like the pizza they've ordered was dearer than anticipated, now they've got to sell the car or no pizza for little Timmy...

Thanks, that would be excellent.

Is Breadvan’s old HPE worth saving in its own right?  I seem to remember it lunched its engine or something.

I think you're thinking of the wrong HPE.
The red HPE VX that BV had, was actually my old one, as seen at Arley Hall (not Chumley) in 2013 …. After the engine lunching incident he sold it on, I'm not sure where it went.

The HPE I have is an ie BV bought cheap and rotten to use for spares for the coupe he had. He removed the steering rack before finding out they were different between the HPE and coupe. This HPE was beyond saving when BV had it, I got it from him 4+ years ago and it's been outside since then.

You’re right — I was thinking of the nice red one that used to be yours, hence being sad at it being a spares car.  Hopefully it is alive and well somewhere.

Started off about six weeks ago at £650, it's had a lot of brake work and I'm sorely tempted too!

It's New Year's eve, another couple of beers and tomorrow it's yours.......

Must resist, already done a two hundred mile round trip today to pick up 1982 Cagiva SST 250 2 stroke. Still got room on the drive though hmmm.........

3.5 Nissan powered? Might be a safer bet than a C6 Diesel...........

I think Laguna Coupes are real lookers, and that one seems a more sensible price than others. Would.

Yes, it’s the engine out of the 350Z, which was well thought of at the time; not sure the autobox gets the best out of it, but that’s all part of what makes it shite.

I see it's in Bournemouth.  Didn't someone want an emergency replacement car in Poole?

Edit: yes, it was @Iamgroot

Surely someone round that way can get this bought and roffled before the weekend?

Indeed. £7 a ticket. If someone else can pick up, I'm happy to lend £100 to the buy-to-roffle pot. Anyone else in?

Bit on the shiny side if anything, but nice nonetheless. Has a reserve and will probably go to someone who will spend all summer sitting next to it on a deckchair giving Metro owners the evils.

the front windscreen washers have stopped working but it is a simple fix

Selling on behalf of a friend that is no good with computers

Not too handy with bolting in a new washer pump either, presumably.

Yep, £100 here if needed.
