Unless I'm missing something obvious here, it appears that your property ends at the face of the wall her fence is screwed to. It also appears her grass encroaches half a brick onto your property as the kerbstone is at halfway point in the width of your garage wall.

Ergo, 4" of that grass is on your property and that's more than enough to get a 3" post and boards in for a small fence without narrowing your drive!

Yup. The garage wall on the right is slap bang on the boundary of my property, and, as you say, the driveway doesn't quite reach the parallel edge. However, the whole lot was built like this in the early 70's (and hasn't been altered since), so I kind of assumed that the concrete edging on my driveway tarmac is my driveway boundary as such?

I take it you can't LPG direct injection cars as the injectors aren't in the inlet manifold? I googled it and it said if they used the petrol injectors they'd overheat without petrol to cool them so you'd need to inject lpg and petrol at the same time but the mapping would be difficult.

The article looked quite old so I wondered if they'd figured it out?

Thanks for your responses. I'm gonna chuck it in with headlights as are but will polish them up before I sell it.

I'd say through experience your property ends with the extremity of the wall. The kerbstone is set to your side to denote you own it and it is your responsibility (in the same way fence posts denote it's owner).

You still own 4" of that grass.

Interesting reading. Why wouldn't the builders have taken the kerbstone right up to the boundary though?

Check your land registry plans, you'll have got them when you bought the place & you can find them online.

No kink in the boundary in front of the garage proves the 4" of grass is yours.

I'll look for that kit hendry, my wife's vectra c and my c2 are a bit shite. The vectra is terrible if I'm honest. Have you a full name if what to get?

Just called Autoglym Headlight Restoration Kit, £19.99 from Halfords, it gives you a pad you screw into your drill like you would a drill bit, and some different grades of sand paper with velcro backing you stick onto the pad and work through the various grades as per the instructions, then you finally get a buff pad, put some of the supplied polish on it, smear it over the headlight and buff it off, my passenger headlight was awful and all cloudy, its now as clear as glass, and looks good as new. Wasnt expecting it to work tbh, but its worked much better than I couldve hoped for!

Cheers, I'll look for that next time I'm there.

No probs, one kit would probably do at last 3/4 sets of headlights depending how bad they are so its well worth it!

Can really do with a reg plate being hpi checked. Can someone check it for me please? My friend Is trying to sell a bike he has owned for about 3 years but something is flagging up on Gumtree stopping him, apparently it has an issue regards insurance or stolen. Thanks.

My place is like this and also 70s. I must own several inches width of "next door's" lawn with the pattern repeating down the street.

Ask on the LPGdiscussionforum new ideas come on the market all the time.

Hmmm. I've got something that sounds like it's rattling away under the bonnet, particularly at low speed/uneven surfaces. This right at the back of the engine bay this doesn't look healthy. Any Fiesta mk6 botherers able to help out with what it is?

Exhaust, so probably the heat shield for the cat rattling.

At least I think so, been a few years so I had the misfortune to fix OMGHGF & dropped valves in a festering.

Just go onto autotrader and begin to post an ad, when you put the reg in it will fill in the car details and tell you if it is a cat c/d or something else, you don't get the full story though, a HPI check is £3 for a basic one, and £13 for a full one, its not exactly expensive :)

+1 for the cat heat shield. I've had several cars where the clips rust away and it rattles, usually at low speed in a high gear and occasionally over the velvety* smooth* roads of Hampshire too. Do you have ramps you could drive it up onto and wiggle the heat shield about a bit? One of mine got welded up and one I ripped right off because it was irritating me. not a lot else you can do due to how hot the cat gets in normal operation.

Doesn't sound like the exhaust has gone, nor am i getting gassed (I hope!), but it tapping the heat shield is a distinct possibility. Beng daft here, but is that what looks like has sheared?

Now you're dregging my memory!

I think that is a gap in the heat shield where the lamba goes in.

My friend* works for Hants now in a similarly named department. The roads will be getting better shortly ;-)

When it has cooled down, if there is enough room try reaching in and seeing if there is any play in it by hand. If you are really lucky you might be able to bend it in such a way that when it rattles it doesn't touch the downpipe and the noise will stop.

Cheers, I'll tell him. I'm not bloody paying! He can pay it then!

Why is "bangerfan101" showing as "banned" this evening?

Every post I saw by him was some BNP style shit calling for lynchings and advocating violence. My clicky finger was circling the Ignore User button but it seems the mods were even less tolerant of his bollocks than me.

Today I looked at a 14 year old Mercedes convertible. The way in which the hood opened and disappeared into the boot before the boot lid closed over it was so beautifully choreographed that it could have been set to music. But would that music have been the Death March?

Yakety Sax; everything's better set to Yakety Sax, it's the law.
