There are 14 known to the club and this is an extra one. I have an inkling of where it has come from, but never had a photo I am hoping our Visa headmaster will enlighten me in due coarse as he has much more info than me.

They all seem to be red! I saw one a couple of decades ago at a Hampshire house when I went to buy two dyane rear bumpers.

Of those know to the Club 6 are bright red, 1 deep red met, 1 yellow and 6 silver.

Aye @Amishtat, where abouts in Braintree? I'd happily take a 30mile detour home to set eyes on that pair.

On Coggeshall Road, on the left as you go into town. There's only one now and it's always hemmed in by other cars when I go by. If you get to Pizza Hut and the Cressing Road traffic lights you've gone a bit too far.

What a great thread! Just read the lot in one go. I hope this car lives again although I suspect it will be a weldathon every year!

Ever wondered what happened to this Visa you all helped to save?

The answer is it ran out of MOT and ended up needing to be saved again!

Dodgy Bastard leapt for the save when he heard of its plight, only to find the owner's brother had moved it to another location because of a traffic warden in the area. The same brother then arranged with a local garage to get it off the road and put it though an MOT, but it failed, although not badly.

Mrs6C spoke to the owner who explained while he had enjoyed his Visa over the years, he was no longer able to take care of it due to now looking after elderly parents. He wanted a good home for it long-term and offered it to Mrs6C. She agreed she would become its keeper and pay the bills to get it MOT'd and safe.

The Visa has now been MOT'd and taxed and we have paid the bills.

The plan now is to get it down south and maintain it on our fleet. Before that happens, if anybody who helped save it before wants to try it for a bit, that would be fine.

It is still parked in the street in Edinburgh, so the first move would be to collect it and park it safely off road somewhere, while we sort out the plan for folk who want to do so, to make use of it and help bring it south in due course.

We understand it drives OK and is ready to go, showing up on the DLVA  as MOTed, Taxed and insured.

I could store it off road for any length of time required and collect anyone from station pretty much anytime with notice. If that's any use.

I know it's only 50  odd miles more southern but every little helps

If you want to store it on a slightly different street in another Scottish city it can come and sit next to the Doloshite and I can take it shopping so it's not appearing abandoned for as long as required.

I'll just park the Acclaim one street over.

if train tickets down there where not like £100 id love to go up there and bring it down just for the experience of it all  

(that and I dont have a full licence yet, so I would have to drive it back with some other poor sod in the car with me, all while avoiding motorways!)

I could always jump on a train and go and get it - I've already driven a daft distance in a shonky red Visa belonging to someone else once this year and that went OK, so no reason why I couldn't do it again.
