Paulplom..........     I'm coming to UK soon for a while, Can I borrow it for a few weeks ?

The other question is    How far can you go before the fuzz stop you for speeding ? Even just a little bit !

They have to catch you before they can stop you. He said it's frightening and he's had super cars as long as I remember. 0-60 in 2.7. 0-124 in less than 8 iirc. Red lines at 7k. The n/a one red lines at 8k. For some reason they dropped it for the turbo.

I did try peanut butter when I first got the car but didn't find it to be very effective. Also the dog found the bumpers irresistible for a day or two. That Autoglym stuff gets my vote for chalky grey Volvo trim

I bought some Mr Fix from ebay, it's great on black trim , put it on and it stayed black for months

Came in to work today to repair a dash cluster for an indian dude who couldn't really take the thing off the road in the week. I don't mind doing stuff on a weekend, I'm nearly at 6 months straight working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day so what's another day?

Anyway, nicest bloke you could hope to meet, had a good crack with him and he brought me 4 bottles of mysterious strong beer and a load of absolutely beautiful food that his mrs had cooked to say thanks for coming on on the weekend.

Absolutely made my day, best customer ever.

Every time someone who has only ever been in a modern gets in one of my elderly heaps they remark on how comfortable it is, some even mentioning they thought older cars weren't comfortable.  Every new car I'm forced to endure sees me remark how intolerable the seats are, with the only exception being a 2012ish Renault Clio which had some sort of memory foam thing going on that was quite nice... then instantly spoiled by the massively reflection prone 'smart panel' or whatever that occupied the whole middle third of the dashboard.

I was in a window frame factory the other day and spotted an old unloved lathe in the corner complete with a Reliant Robin steering wheel.

Phoebes birthday today (Phoebe is the older dog, she's 12 today) and I have spent £62 in Pets at home buying her a new bed (her old bed is full of her toys!!)  and a variety of treats and bones and another £32 on poor moo cow for their dinner. Everyone thinks I am mad, glad to prove them right :)

Oh and the very nice lady (Cheryl) who serves me every time I go in, carried my bags out to the car and kissed me as well! Amazingly, I actually like her as well which is why I will never ask her out. No point in ruining someones life when you like them, I reserve that for people I fancy but don't like!  :)

Little White Dog fest again today. The numbers were down on the last time we went, but it was still GR8. Dave_Lee_Cartland had an absolute blast and made lots of new friends.

Chester had an interface with a white pup that looked exactly like your mutt, they seemed to like each other... a bit too much if you know what I mean. The lady on the other end of the dogs lead (stupid, let the dog run and be a ...dog!) was mortified that her precious could do such 'mucky' things and even worse was when Chester returned the favour!

Picked up the wrong aerosol to spray on stuff when trying to get a fitting out of a casting with a hot air gun. I wasn't using "fire" so wasn't being careful.

Massive fireball, no hair left on either arm, my 5 oclock shadow and nose hairs were wiped out, but thanks to my glasses, other than a sore face I'm unscathed.

Learned a lesson. Need a haircut!

Liked for this bit not the massive fireball.

I have bite my tongue when getting into moderns...

"yes this 2019 i3 is lovely, yes, mmmmm" whilst all the time I'm just thinking how nicer the zx seats are, and their not exactly great unless sitting on exactly the right cog in the adjuster...

Its also difficult to engage in conversation about auto lights and stuff when I turn mine on subconsciously most of the time, I already have dab and mp3, don't drive far enough to really need cruise control, can't help but notice the orange peel on the paint or that it's been washed by a brush...

Worth watching some YouTube vids too, such as the Parkinson interviews.  Always preferred Les to Dame Edna?

Been there, done that! ? I’ve heard the album before, but never had the actual record.

I need to dig out my Betamax and watch Les Patterson Saves the World and The Adventure of Barry McKenzie again!

The close ups of your forearm and your rug reminds me of mould hyphae that grows on stale bread and rotting fruit. Fascinating, in an appalling way.
