Last time I went there on a Sunday afternoon we ended up in Sweden three days later.

Not that I was complaining, mind.

They must be using some interesting mushrooms if that's what happens

Saw a Lada Riva saloon following a red BX estate going up the m606 earlier.

Not seen either in the wild for some time.

Decided to put some usb led lights up that run off a power bank in my rented garage. No mains power so it's like a cave at this time of year. Quite pleased with the result.

Passed a 68-plate new shape Suzuki Jimny today in a sort of luminous yellow colour. It looked ACE.

When cycling I take great pleasure in using the longitudinal strips to cross them. Either that or a bunny hop to clear the whole thing!

They scare me to bits. I get off and walk

I once got charged £20 in my younger days for a garage to fill my rusty puma arch with silicone and hammer the pointy bits in...

Last mot it had was that!

An idiot at work did that a few years ago in Blackpool. Unfortunately the tram stopped in time.

I'm guess it was about 1955 in his late teens

You think that wheel arch was gaffa tape creative? I hope EddieHonda has a photo of my handiwork on his Volvo 340.

It's a shame I don't have photos of the pop-rivetted-on cornflakes packets covered in wob/glabber on my first mk2 Cav...

About five years ago in his 40s.

Of course I have Kenneth. MOT-approved.

Went to the clothes bank to dump. 4 bags of clothes and found half of a dyson DC41 dumped there.

Grin? I need the small tools for one of mine and this has them, so £15 saved there! Plus loads of spare parts

On my 7th trip to the tip last weekend I saw a 10 drawer bisley steel cabinet next to the scrap metal.

Asked about it expecting to get shot down (they always have before) but I was told I could have it. That's 5 of them I've cadged for nowt, they'll come in handy when I get the workshop set up. Very pleasing!

We scored one of those for work a couple of years back and it was far bettter than the rollcab that was supposed to replace it.

I see them all the time in "antiques centers" that the mrs takes me to, usually at £60/70 a shot, double that if some pillock has ground all the paint off and put a can of poundland clear lacquer on.

Out of the 5, they're all different heights with thwarts my plans to use them to support a workbench

Ah man my bisley mojo is high and I've just got a matching pair off ebay for £25, I'm happy with that!

Went over to FIL's Merc camper today, built many years ago inside an 814 body on an L plate, started first turn of the key after not being run since September. Needs a good wash mind!

An invisible repair I think you'll agree,

I find looking at it from the other side of the van whilst staring at the front wheel it's hardly even noticeable.

Managed to get someone sensible at the DVLA. I sent all my paperwork in for the Solex moped just before Christmas. One of the idiots obviously didn't want to do any work that day and sent it back to me saying they needed a registration document from the country of origin or a dating certificate, which I had sent. I sent it all back with a note saying I think you will find that the paperwork was correct and today I got this.

Whoever dealt with it this time obviously knew what they were doing. All it required to register was a dating cert and insurance, no need for mot so that was a result

So far, two people have demonstrated a troubling inability to operate an actual door-handle when getting off, as opposed to spamming a push-button. What new-fangled devilry will they force on us next? Also, a fellow passenger whose train was cancelled after it hit a person, "doesn't know why these idiots can't just go home and take an overdose instead". Normally this would arouse my ire, but based on her facial appearance, I suspect that she has personally experienced at least one forcible collision with a train-shaped object, so it was a fair assessment for her to make.
