GCL4??Y - who wants to try the 100 possible combinations?

Only 99 combinations, GCL60Y was a 2.0 Ghia, I know because I owned it for a few years.

I can only make out the GCL so it was a local car to Norwich, just like the Cardinal Base is.

I think our mystery one pictured is GCL 436Y. White 1600? Tax expired 1993.

GCL436Y was a decadent L model according to Cartell.ie.

If for some reason you've completely missed the antics of Cold War Motors, then might I suggest starting with their recent Spliceathon series where they effectively save several hopeless old heaps by combining them into one.

Part 1 of this series is here:

I've been watching their Citroën SM rebuild series, naturellement

Also very good, and completely daft.  Pretty amazing that he ended up with so many SMs too, it's not a car you'd think would be at all plentiful outside of France.

Three / four(?) SM hulks to make one good one, and a boatload of random SM parts.

He's got some pretty handy metal forming skills, that's for sure - might have helped if he had shown us how he actually does it rather than just leaving a gap between the template and the finished part / patch.

I was in Poundland...

"Well, he sent me a snapchat last night and he said he couldnt as he has Nexia."

Pretty sure it was Nexia, i wanted to give my sympathies in either case of him having a daughter called Nexia, or a Daewoo.

Yep. Recognise all the places in your pictures from my youth. I lived in the last row of houses at the bottom of Wickfield Road near the last bus stop.

Was a great place to grow up. Wasn’t much crime or gangs, the mosbrorough bypass was being built and the construction site made a a great play ground. We spent hours and hours in the plantation bit on our BMXs building a track.

Makes me sad kids these days don’t get the same chance to live like we did.

Edit:

This is pointing straight towards where our house was:

Yep. Drive down there quite a bit taking the shortcut from coisley hill roundabout to frecheville. Makes me sad to look around but it was really run down by the time the area was cleared.

3 minutes and 20 seconds into the hubnut live Q&A and they are already asking to see Mr Hubnut in a mankini...

Saw a dark red Mk1 Cortina estate today, it was driven by a guy in his early 20s and judging from how it moved and sounded it had been breathed upon more than a little. Back end was full of stuff so good to see it earnings it’s keep.

Wonder if that's now going to be left as open parkland, or have new developments built on it?

For some reason this popped up on youtube. I haven't seen this since I was a kid. I remember watching this on TV in Germany.

Lovely to see it again :) It makes me smile but also a little sad as my sister, mum and dad pee'd themselves laughing at this. Sadly all three are now gone. Damn :(

Yay for Miss Sophie and James.

Weirdly hardly anyone in the uk has seen it, but it’s the most popular thing at Christmas on tv in Germany. I’ve only heard of it through a Paul Merton series on black and white films.

Staff at my local Royal Mail office were unusually efficient this morning. The manager must have been sporting a service revolver.

Yes, it is hugely popular in Germany around Christmas, or was anyhow.

I could email my brother in law and just say 'Miss Sophie' and he would instantly crack up :)

Nice to see it but very bittersweet.

The more I think about Dinner for One', the more puzzled I am, there was no reason for this to pop up on youtube, I've been watching Hope for Paws and Hubnut videos. Really odd.

Saw a smiley transit earlier.

The drivers side front wing was gaffer tape. Top to bottom, front to back, no visible metal.... Just carefully arranged black gaffer tape. Really neat though, the shape was perfect.
