I was 3 last time I was there. I'm sure it will be exciting*. Is it worse than Blackpool?

It's much worse than Blackpool, there is nothing there apart from a statue on the seafront and the polo tower, the whole town is a dumping ground for the unemployed and feckless, you'll just have to get very very very very pissed

Mat, have l missed the back-story to that letter from Swansea?

If not, I think we'd all like to hear it, or at least what you told them!

No back-story mentioned on here, but all I did was explain the circumstances and to my amazement it seems like a bit of common sense has been applied! I will refrain from DVLA bashing for at least a short while...

Saw a beige BX doing school-run duty this afternoon

and

got a pic. of this Standard at last. post-17481-0-46230500-1458331592_thumb.jpg

I have been seeing it all winter at commute time, rain and shine, salt and fog. There is another hero using a P2 Rover for winter commuting but no snap of that. Yet.

Awarded myself a virtual e-pat on the back for some pretty ELITE SKILLZ YO! ANPR dodging, I just discovered the vehicle in question is MOT'd and taxed anyhow.

I was in Cornwall earlier this week for a few days to see family, My sisters partner owns this stunning XR2 and it was the first time I've got to see it.

It's a unrestored 39000 mile example what was owned by just one lady before him (he's had it 11 years), He took me for a ride in it, i forgot what fun these little cars are, it's surprisingly nippy and that exhaust rasp is very infectious, I'm not sure it's worth £8000+ like people are asking but it's left me kicking myself for turning down the black A reg one i got offered with 40k on the clock back in 2001 for £500!.

That looks mint, the tape doodah on the dash.... I remember them, was that an option or aftermarket addition?

Trigger that is fabulous! Quite common round here too when I learnt to drive, I don't think anyone in Essex ever bought poverty spec.

There's 7 in the front axle alone, I abandoned the test because I couldn't be arsed, I just wrote a "to do" list instead.

I am feeling sorry for myself so I have been scoffing Haribo sour things and they are fucking lovely.... best bit is: the dogs don't like them so I get to eat the sodding things all to myself! :)

Went to Lidl this evening, a tale in itself.  Got the bags out of the boot and as I walked away the car wouldn't lock.  Thought "Oh well" and left it - the chevrons protect it from potential thieves.

When I got back after shopping discovered the reason it wouldn't lock - drivers door left open

Kindle was on the front seat too.

I take it it's the Greeny-Blue van that was driven from Turkey? If so, the '33' denotes that it's from the Mersin province of Turkey, about 280 miles from the capital Ankara.

Number '34' province is Istanbul where I met Lady_Sterling, also '34' province in France is Languedoc-Roussillon is where I lived before I went to Istanbul, Turkey.

Stuck in traffic in Salisbury yesterday.....Normally avoid the place but had to go to Burlen to pick up a new float chamber union.   Waiting at one of the 249 red lights on a roundabout I saw a grubby, tired looking white DB6 hooning across the opposite junction and up toward the A36.   Bloody fantastic sight and sound and so much better than seeing it gleaming in a white room somewhere.

I ordered a set of spark plugs at 1:00 A.M. Friday morning (so, no one at work) and they arrived this morning! That's good service in my book. However, they were cheaper than anyone else so now I am worrying that they are fake.... I love being me!
