I'm watching the rugby on ITV...Do Italy really have a player called "Brown Stain", or is it just the way the commentator's pronouncing it?

I've booked my flight for an Easter collection ... I'm quite excited, but the cars involved aren't particularly exciting.

It's not really foreign lands, it's just that flights are considerably cheaper and quicker than trains in this country.

Mrs 18s is kicking around Crufts as well trying to drum up some sponsorship or freebies for the charity.....

A friend has recently got a Defender (53 reg) and I'm sure the indicator/wiper stalks are the same as in an MG Metro I once had!

Another HMRC letter this morning.  Gah!  More self-assessment/gateway crap to deal with?

But no.  TAX REBATE!

Started stripping the front end of the Cupra's engine bay today,in order to change the crankshaft sensor that Everybody has told me is the cause of it running like a right bastard

Whilst moving the rats nest of PCV piping i spotted an inch long split in the hose that feeds back into the inlet manifold

Managed to lash up a replacement and full health has been restored...

So... I saw 'Poppy the Subaru' today, so I take it all back??? Maybe? I'm conflicted.

I'm no doctor of history, but, the car features Spitfires, Churchill and many other things WW2 related... the Subaru is Japanese.

Ah but Alec Guiness is in the boot.

It makes me sad to see so many of the inbred animals at Crufts, I have had a range of dogs over the years (nearly all rescue of one sort or another) and the only ones with health problems were 'breeds', we lost our rescue Bassett at four due to epilepsy. Our springer was healthy but he was from working stock and it makes me quite angry when I see the shape of the show springers as I know how many health problems they have. The worst part is that the KC know about these problems but refuse to change the breed standards to move away from the issues. It's just a beauty contest for people too ugly to put themselves in one in my opinion.

I love to see the fly ball and agility, that is good fun.

Whilst I agree that KC breed standards have created freaks, the gsd to name 1 but there are many more, I am a huge gsd lover who has had them my entire life but they have to be straight backed, i hate to see drop back shepherds as I can only imagine the extra pain they will encounter later on with hip dysplasia due to the extra stress on the joints, even though the people who breed this into them claim that it doesn't give extra pressure on the hips but we know they talk shit, I also disagree with the statement of crufts being a parade of freaks as I saw more straight back shepherds showing than drop backs today, also the agility, flyball and heel to music dogs were amazing dogs which weren't judged on breed standards or KC lines but their ability to do what was asked of them

I'm glad things are changing towards breeding dogs for fitness rather than a look but my opinions on dog breeding and choosing a dog based on the way it looks are probably best not mentioned here.

I don't know what I've done but I pressed edit to add something now my post is gone

I Couldn't agree more, I have very strong feelings about defects that come from breeding to get "the ideal" i can imagine our two lines of opinion will be similar to be fair

Some 2cver friends show dogs at crufts. They have bichon frises ( spelling? As I always want to call them bison fute after the French maps). Yappy things. But one up on the hairless rat beasts. I'm not an animal person, but in my experience the friendliest dogs are bitsa mongrels. Also, those South African ridgebacks basically have spina bifada but the trait is encouraged despite how it cruelly affects the animals. I agree with Mr Peel on this. The kennel club does very little for animal welfare.

My girl gsd is from Czech working lines and she is fantastic, her power, drive and focus is amazing to be around.

Went to Chepstow yesterday to pick someone up from the races.

Saw 2 Mk3 Cortinas and a nice P4 Rover, the Rover sounded as if it was rocking a TDi. Was it someone off here? I know there's at least one , but can't remember who.

This was headed north on the M1 today.

The grin? A sign in the window saying "Not in Service"
