This WOLF Qashqai spotted at the auctions in Dalry and papped by richard.

There are also 3 wolves on the bonnet.

I know we're all shaking our heads in bewilderment, but I wonder what percentage of the general population would have opinion that it has been improved aesthetically.

Even if you only include people who regularly travel in that car, I'm guessing the percentage would be quite low.

Straight off the night shift I went for a walk along Southend seafront this morning (for a bit of exercise) and two things made me smile, this WINNAR (it had a factory tailgate on the LWB too) and this scene of pure Essex:

There's definitely something time-warpy about Southend, as we know from AngryDicky's and EssDeeWon's exceptional spotting threads.

I think there is quite a few of us stuck in the mid '90s, music wise. I could get all grumpy and say its gone downhill since then and all modern dance music is shit but there is a large amount of outstanding stuff being made these days.

In the 90s, you had the compilation CD's, what was played in the clubs, Radio1 and a few half-assed DJ magazines as your only real sources of new stuff but now its stunning just how much stuff you can find through Spotify and Soundcloud. Even Pete Tong still plays some brilliant stuff - his show is always worth a listen, but I suppose it always has been.

My preference is always for the 90s euphoric dance stuff though.

Granted there is a lot of pish too, especially since the 'mericans got hold of it and called it EDM.

I wish I wasn't so lazy and could root out the wheat from the chaff of modern music. I have a couple of mates into dance who fortunately do it for me now and then though. I think part of it was all those old songs were from a much simpler time when I had nowt to worry about.

Not sure this is a grin/grim./or just worrying....

As mentioned elsewhere, I went to Halfords to get stuff and when I came out, there were two lads with a nice Pug 306. What is the grin/grim is that they asked what my car was worth and when I said, they agreed because they'd been on eBay to find out the cars value! They showed me the page with them at 20, 24 and 28 thousand quid (oh and one at 15 but we are forgetting that one!).

At the time, I was sort of chuffed that they could confirm the price (I daren't look after the amount I've spent!) but then I started thinking: why?

Is this a 'thing' now where bored youths google your car and give valuations on the spot like a mobile 'we buy any car'?

So I'm sort of grinning but in a worried/concerned way!

Nice one Bub, looks like your lucks on the turn chap. Told ya didn't I? You certainly are a lucky chap to be moving into a house like that. It's true to say though, sometimes we all need a helping hand in life.

In other news, it looks like Sis_Sterling wants to go down the chod route. She wants to learn to drive soon and is applying for her provisional, as a car for herself she has been eyeing up Mk2 Fiat Puntos (of course, being a teenager, this is subject to change, unless she is anything like me and keeps on until she gets the car that she wants) with a preference for 5-doors, but a 3-door wouldn't go a miss.
