Used the old Laguna today for a quick trip to drop daughter at work and go into town. Pressed the air con button not expecting much, and it only bleeding works doesn't it!

Found this rather crumpled "business card" in my wallet, from a mad long weekend a couple of years ago. Have to say I prefer the term "drinking consultants" to the rather poncy "imbibing emporium" used in Belfast. :D

Insurance companies surely pull numbers from the air. Insurance on xantia is 73 quid a month fully comp. Substantial monthly saving of the Volvo which was £196. Also found the owners handbook, service book and I think even the original bill of sale is in there. Tucked away under a cover in the car.

I know you've had a few mishaps but why's your insurance so expensive?

My car unintentionally farted fire several times out of the exhaust at a tailgating Range Rover, which made him drop back a lot.

The mishaps haven't gone through insurance, only the van did. The vectra I covered that off my own back. I passed my test last year and to be fair it was only the Volvo that was really high. To say I've got no ncb and 3 points from my biking days 70 quid on a 1.9 xantia isn't too bad

Can you get a kit to install this feature?

The current thing with Tapatalk not showing quotes correctly makes JB's Kinkygirl look even kinkier, with added Cheggers

Just done another very pleasant bike ride with the top bloke that is Chris Boardman. Local bike shop organised it (as last year) and we cracked about 22 miles in glorious Cheshire sun.

Parky, if you need another set of hands to help you knacker your entire car even quicker, give us a shout.

Nice one. That way if we fuck it up and Mrs P kicks off, I can say "wasn't me, a bigger boy did it"

Two autoshiters, one car in need of tinkering, sun shining, how could a day get better?

If that happens I'm going to claim my mum needs me home for my tea.

A mate asked me if I'd like to help him take his jalopy for its mot next week. Why does he need help taking it you ask?

When it's 120 years old and weighs 160tons it takes a couple of hands to shift it.

I imagine many others will have seen this, but I stumbled across it when for some reason a local nightclub posted it on their facebook page. It's incredible (and legit, look carefully and you can see the safety cords attached to his ankles [/spoiler/). Volvo also have a lot of other interesting videos on the channel worth a look.

It is Wells and the sea is right there, or it'd be a bugger to get that boat out of the harbour. ;)

A busy weekend has yielded the sale of two mowers and a wardrobe, enabling me to not only fuel the commute to work next week, but also buy a bottle of Mount Gay Eclipse AND have £40 left over for miscellaneous expenses between now and payday on friday.

Great success.

There was a old sawmill up the road in a village called Needham Market that's been derelict for many, many years, probably 20+ years, about 5 years i had a little look around and there was still the old machinery scattered around the yard, in fact heres a few photos i found on Flickr taken back in 2010.

anyway the reason for this post is about 4 years the site was completely cleared and flattened and all the plant was scrapped, or so i thought until someone posted this on my flickr, I'm genuinely pleased to see that this has been restored, especially considering how fucked it was and in how little time!., and yes, it is the one from the last set of photos!

Is that the one opposite Needham lake, right by the Gipping? I'm amazed the site hasn't been bought by developers and its always great to see how rustic it looks when I'm up that way visiting family.

It always reminds me of backwater France for some reason. Great to see that AEC restored too. The site is like the Marie Rose, its like they just downed tools one day and never came back.

That's exactly the site. I don't know much about the place being a newbie to these parts but it always seems odd to see it abandoned like that, especially as the site was right on the road and always open to anybody.
