My photo but sadly not my car so I think not in the running for the calendar.  You have to tell me what it is anyway and if anyone says Sunbeam Rapier they will get taken outside and shot.

Talking of welding, I needed to weld up a gap between two pieces of metal tonight and couldn't be bothered to connect up the bottle so tried the reel of flux cored that came with the welder. Not only did I manage to connect the two pieces but It was a better weld than I have been getting with the gas..... Why do I always find supposedly more difficult things easier than the simple things? story of my life...

It did make me grin though ....

Throwing the reg into a parts dealers site says it is a 1962 N/A Model N/A with the famous N/A engine.

I saw a local postie driving a grim green Talbot Samba the other day.

I predict that some letters will be delivered later than expected.

Today I made the final payment on a business loan I took out FIFTEEN years ago.  A business that imploded because my health went down the toilet and my partner at the time was a massively abusive arsehole.  Now I'll be funelling those payments into my savings account.  I last had savings when I was 18 and my life has been such a mess since then it's taken until now, when I'm 34, to get back to the start again.  I feel good about today so let's hope this winning streak continues with the Renault jobs I'm doing in a bit.

The dollop behaved impeccably today, even the air con is ice cold (Chester was laying on the floor with the two vents open blowing icy blasts over his hot, fat little body - he approves! :)  ), no alarm malfunction and it even started as and when requested. I don't for one moment think my 'fix' has, er, fixed it but it was nice if only for one day.

Oh, and I received my new copy of 'The Definitive Alice Cooper' cd which I played loudly while driving (giving Bentley owners a bad name is fuuuuun!). It is not as good as I remembered, I was upset until the volume went up then it got better :)

I'd still like to weed her herbaceous border.

You'd need a fucking great plough to deal with that these days as opposed to the small trowel that might have done the job twenty years back.

Spotted a set of mk5 RS wheels for the Escort today, only up the road and starting at a reasonable £90.

So I sends the seller a message, asking what's his best price if I pick up within the hour.

Now these are starting to pick up in price as many cars are being put back to std,so I'm hoping he'll keep them under £150 so I can get them refurbished. ..

Matey replies "80 if they go today".......see you in an hour says I !!!

Picked them up and they're in decent shape,3 of the tyres are almost new Proxes.Well happy..

He's also got a full RS engine/gearbox/ecu ect to sell, and a full Recaro interior that sadly doesn't match mine

He also showed me around the back of his little unit at a few things that May be up for sale before too long

Replaced all four 50W GU10 halogen spotlights in the kitchen with some Philips warm white 5.3W LEDs. Brighter and the payback time shouldn't take too long.

the new battery charger arrived yesterday.

a £15 special cheapo one off the interweb. sold as been brand new, but in a shop soiled box.

as the box will no doubt end up in the bin, i'm not too bothered.

anyhoo, off to the garage i trot, plug it in and fasten it to the Mini's well flat battery. only one of the LED things on the charger come on. there are 2, one for power and one for charging. only the power one comes on, and there is no buzzing like what i was expecting...

bugger, i've only gone a bought a duff one..... SHIT!!

Kerry today has had a read of the distructions, and there is a fuse in the plug, and one in the machine. she opened it up, and the inside fuse is missing! puts one in, and lo, both lights come on, and the charger is now buzzin' like a demented bee.

happy dayzzzzz!

Ended up with the phones on divert to me from head office. Ended up mostly sales calls. Told a nice Indian chap that we don't have any power contracts because we use renewable solar power and have a biomass heating system, and told a fella from a fuel card company that we recently moved depot so we now have a 700 acre rapeseed plantation for biodiesel production so we don't need any fuel cards.

From The Daily Mash,

Tickles me anyway.

Woman on Facebook wants everyone to know she is so blah blah blah

13-04-16

MARY Fisher has taken to Facebook to let everyone know that she is just really blah blah blah right now.

34-year-old Fisher claimed she has never been so yada yada yada and that she felt truly blessed by etcetera etcetera.

She said: “I just want everyone to know that I’m so yap yap yap right now.

“I’m lucky to have whatever in my whatever. Every morning I feel so on and so forth.

“Just wanted to share that with the people I love.â€

Fisher’s friend Emma Bradford responded: “Babe, I’m so happy you’re blah blah blah.

“You deserve yap yap yap.â€

Fisher’s ex-boyfriend Martin Bishop added: “I love that you’re feeling blah blah blah. Yap yap yap. Yap.â€

Fisher replied: “Blah x.â€

Professor Henry Brubaker of the Institute of Studies said: “It’s best to delete these people. Although you probably can’t because you’re somehow related to them.â€

A friend of a friend turned up in this today and I went for a ride in it and even had lunch bought for me, life is good.

It's fresh in from the states and has an amazing paintwork even inside and the boot floor are painted to the same standard.

This....

It is up to you to work out why....

A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "It was a four-vehicle, non-injury road traffic collision.

"Vehicles were cleared from the road for recovery.

"The vehicles involved were a white Citroen C3 registered to a woman from Weymouth, a blue Toyota Yaris registered to a woman from Dorchester, a white Ford Ka registered to a woman from Weymouth and a black Citroen C1 registered to a woman from Portland.
