This is a screenshot of Yahoo! taken earlier today - someone in the adverts department is obviously on the ball today!

The classic car effort on 5 is one of the shitest things I've ever seen.

"We didn't want to fill the sunroof hole so we just put a more modern one in". It's an e-type FFS!

Here's one of the many similiar quotes on the channel 5 website:

Trying to think of some constructive critisism, but three words keep springing to mind. Atrocious, contrived, rubbish. Sorry, but some of the worst TV that I have ever watched

Just noticed on that link that next weeks show is on a Porsche, I wondered why there was a Porsche door in the background a few times last night

Oh, and I thought it was rubbish too...

Whilst at the shop today I noticed that Angel Delight Butterscotch is only 5% sugar.

So I've bought it, made it, and eaten it.

Now I feel a bit sick.

As you were.

If 5% is sugar, what's inthe remaining 95%?

Stuff that will make the person whom eats it feel sick...

I didn't even know that Angel Delight was still available. Must get some. Can you still get that fizzy drink powder called Cambodia (?) Foam? I used to eat that when I was a kid.

Went to a conference* at the National Space Centre near Leicester today. Didn't get a chance to look around but the last speaker was the director of the place, who spoke with passion and gusto about space exploration and conspiracy theories. Even though I'll probably never see him again, I'm going to go back for a proper look around.

(Plus it's next door to a Victorian pumping station and about 500 metres from the Great Central Railway - make that a weekend away :D )

One of our cats used to love chocolate Angel Delight and usually got the bowl to lick after it had been dished up.Sometimes Mum would mix it up in a deep jug so we could sit and watch the cat stick her head right down into the bottom to get the last remnants of the sweet, sweet chocolat-ey brown gloop out the bottom, then she'd have to sit and wash her entire head as it was covered in the stuff.

*Creamola Foam I believe it was called. They re-invented it a few years back but it's not he same as the original stuff, which I strongly suspect contained depleted uranium or something, given what it did to your tongue...

wiki says: It was manufactured in Glasgow and sold mainly in Scotland from the 1950s until Nestlé ended production in October 1998.

In 2010, a company from Dumbarton started producing a re-creation of Creamola Foam under the name Kramola Fizz.

There was a line of traffic tonight about 150 metres long down the Leeds ring road outside McDonalds where some poor sod had pulled up behind a line of parked cars and everyone else was sat behind him waiting for the traffic to move.

Made me proper LOL as i drove in the opposite direction.

I've been in two Aldis recently looking for Ritter Sport squares (the little ones) but I can't find them. Any Aldi shoppers seen them locally?

I was watching that w newheeler dealers with the Jag MkII in it last night. They ended up selling it it for 9k. Is that what these go for? It looked really for that money. I didn't realise they were are cheap and it looked reasonably simple to work on. If I had that money and it was the choice between a Mk2 RS2000 and and a MKII jag I'd be all over it.

More to the point, isn't that Lotus a Ginetta?

Making me grin this morning was following a very tidy B-plate Uno SX on the way to work, which was being driven in, shall we say, a "spirited" manner. I don't think I ever quite had to floor the throttle in the Rover to keep up with him, but judging by the amount of black smoke in the mirrors it was still having to work fairly hard. And I'd be willing to bet he was having more fun than me, a revvy 1301cc Italian 4-pot being far more amusing to thrash than a slightly tired L-series.

It is indeed a Ginetta.

Anyway. Bloody DVLA website. I couldn't find the Bluebird's insurance certificate so I decided to go the online route. Managed to find the reminder but the sodding reference wasn't recognised. What gives?! Sodding technology etc.

Then looked at the car. Ah. Tax doesn't actually run out until the end of October! Result! Feels like a month of free road tax. Annoyingly, the BX TXD really IS out of tax this month and I don't have a reminder or V5C yet. Guess I'll be going to the Post Office next week after all.
