Are you expecting many fatalities?

My first job out of school at 16 was at Henleys, they use to fill the whole site there.  I learnt to drive helping to move the cars from the workshop all the way round the outside, across the front and into the paintshop out back.  Only did 6 months, they laid three of us off just after Maggie announced her YOPS scheme.  They could have three new lads for free!!

Diamonds are forever was on ITV last night.

I took a photo and sent it to my other half - I told her it reminded me of her when I complimented another woman - 20250621_001547.jpg.b0c65dd35332883720392b53435f6a02.jpg

Wife just told me to look at the size of the woman's breasts at the other side of the pool. Naturally, I had to obey 😄

Imagine if you said that to the wife!

Rain - That's my grin, as it's reduced hay fever and a fat b*stard sweating 😅
Rampant Volcano ass has also subsided.

Car related - The new dampers on the Volvo really have made the ride so much nicer.

I was giving away the oe rear lights from my GT86, and the guy insisted he gave me something for them.

So I said ok.

He gave me £20 😁

My Mrs has a habit of drawing my attention to women who she thinks "look a state"

To be quite honest, most of them look quite decorative in my opinion.

I don't say that obviously.

Had to attend the local walk-in yesterday…..

Kidney infection plus 2 x 30/500 co-codamol produced an entertaining dream featuring a possibly self-driving caravan made from a shipping container, a 2.5 litre can of paint - Mr Warties Unsuitable Caravan Paint and a booklet with a van towing a biplane entitled ‘Where have all the idiots gone’?

Laughing for the dream, not the infection

AI response to my Google search for Mr Warties paint:

Mr. Wartie's paint is generally not suitable for painting caravans, especially for the exterior. Caravan exteriors require durable, weather-resistant paints that can withstand the elements and UV exposure. Specialized paints like enamel paints from brands like Centrecoatand Rustoleum, or those designed for metal or fiberglass caravans, are recommended.

Here's why Mr. Wartie's paint is unsuitable and what to use instead:
  • Lack of Durability:
Mr. Wartie's paint may not be formulated to withstand the harsh conditions caravans face, such as temperature changes, UV radiation, and exposure to the elements.

This has made me laugh today - not something that happens very often these days.

Signed up for Squirrel internet and they were supposed to come today for a pre inspection something or other.

I got a text saying we can't install as there is glass all over and the front garden is full of weeds.

I rang them up and told them it wasn't my house.

The guy said are you sure.

I said yes, my house is on the street I gave you when I signed up with a big number 4 on the door.

Apparently they're forwarding me the pictures they took. I'm not sure why as it's still not my house.

Where the fuck the engineer went I've no idea 😂

I have a thing for papanaşi, a traditional Romanian desert. I discovered them in the brief time we had a Romanian restaurant here in Southampton. Unfortunately they didn't survive covid and never reopened after the second lockdown. Since then I've had to go to Romania to get them.

Papanaşi are deep fried doughnut rings covered in cream and fruit compote. A smaller round doughnut is then placed on top. Like so.

Well we were in the Bill's in town today. Bill's is a fairly standard restaurant, not bad at all but not really outstanding. Until today when they served me this.

Which I reconstructed in to this.

Not exactly the same but not far off and the nearest I'm going to get this side of Romania (actually there's a few Romanian restaurants in London but I'd rather go to Romania itself) the doughnut balls weren't quite as crispy as I'd like but they were hot and fluffy inside so I'll accept it. Especially as the last ones I actually had in Romania were a bit of a disappointment as they weren't very crispy at all.

Made my day.
