Utterly bizarre website on the Isuzu Japan corporate domain:

http://www.isuzu.co.jp/world/w_car/index.html

We created and made public this web page "Working Trucks in the World" in the hope of encouraging many people to know about and feel intimate with diesel engine vehicles that play an important role in our daily life.

Just had the CVT box on my Micra flushed with fresh Dextron fluid, the thing drives totally different, fluid last changed about 25k and that was in 2011! .

Now to find various welders in the Rossendale area, sills need doing probably for the MOT, loving this car though :D

not sure if dextron is a good idea in a nissan cvt

*edit* dextron IIE or III should be ok or nissan NS-1

Brilliant!

Not my thing I must admit but a guy I used to work with got a screwdriver up the arse by his girlfriend and then came into work the next day gobbling off about it!

We all took the piss royally of course but he said don't knock it til you've tried it!!

It's still a very firm no from me though!

But was it a flat blade or posi drive? Not that it makes any odds, who in their right mind lets a screwdriver up their balloon knot

Meet the new neighbours across the road, up to my elbows in Volvo related mank. They're very nice. Very...nice. IYSWIM. They wouldn't own a shit old Volvo. In fact they don't. They don't own a car at all. I like these people. They've offered the use of their drive.

Fools.

I'm in a Facebook group called American Cars UK and someone's just posted pics of a bunch of cars that are being used in filming in London.  One of them is Herr Junk's LTD! :)

Changes afoot at work have me working in one place instead of all over.

No more sitting in shitty traffic for hours on end

No more stress

Somewhere civilised to eat my dinner

can't wait.

The car can now be a giffer's garage queen that only does 5oo miles between MOTs. I'll actually have to make a conscious effort to use it now and again so it doesn't bugger up.

Pulled up alongside a black XR4 Cosworth 500 this morning. Driven by a giffer, wife sat in the passenger seat. Big thumbs up. He is showing it at the NEC over the weekend, the stand next to some Italian cars. Reg was either COS 500 or 500 COS.

Mintier than a mint in a mint factory.

Which was it ? And Xr4 or a cossie?

Exactly what I thought.

How many windows on the side? two & it's a Cossie, three & it's the unique XR4i shell which is probably rarer than a Cossie these days.

^^ COS 500 registered 2014 as grey diesel Ford, MOTd this year in Forfar.

But, 500 COS is a black Sierra first registered 31st Dec 1987, MOTd last few times in Edmonton, London. Looks like the one.

Original factory Cossie? Don't know.

Could still have been re-shelled into an XR4i shell. Good excuse for checking out show pics. :-)

Edit, had another look at DVLA.

MOTd at same garage in Edmunton every year since 2007, covered 3000 miles in 10 years and currently showing 27k miles.

1993cc.

Bang on right period for a gen RS 500 too, although the 500s were sold alongside "standard" 3-door Cossies at the time.

Look forward to seeing that one. I love a standard-looking Sierra Cossie or Cossie Saff.

DVLA site is down for me, did you see what engine size it was? I'm assuming 1993cc from the reg.

This should sort out who is the most depraved on the forum...

There has been a long running joke about one bloke in the office liking pegging. One of the new guys didn't know what it meant so I obviously told him the 'truth' that it meant a feathered bird had shit on you. That happened to him today & he's been going around work telling everyone a bird pegged him this morning.

His face was a picture when I let slip the truth just before we all left tonight.

I had to Google pegging, but

What made me grin today?  The looks of complete and total bafflement from the passing masses of both kids and parents when I climbed into the boot of the Skoda (it's rear engined as all true Skodas save for the Favorit are...) to properly refit the plastic cover around the brake/clutch master cylinders.

Especially when they realised that they could hear that the car was running so the engine wasn't actually missing!

Seeing how far you can make people jump as they walk behind the car in the Tesco car park by operating the starter at exactly the right moment is a good game too.

...I'm not actually that mean to members of the public - friends however, they're perfectly fair game.

My new tv connects to the wifi and has a YouTube app. I now sit watching all kinds of shite of an evening while reading AS on the iPad. I'm like a pig in shit!

The wife and sprogs don't quite see the appeal in watching endless homemade log splitter vids, dash cam carnage or how to heat your home using compost tutorials. Whats wrong with them?

Small things again; I am utterly utterly pissed off. Work is getting worse (that time of year) pay is low, bills are high and demanding etc...

But today I had only one job, to deliver a vehicle to a really nice little town called Wallingford in Oxfordshire, it was a delightful little place, sort of like a mix of Ludlow, Tenbury Wells and Leominster. I discovered a large antiques place that had all sorts of different tat and collectables. It reminded me of the nice day I had in Leominster as I was on my way home. Sadly what spoilt thebday was having no money to buy a small piece of tat or two that I usually like to do. Mind, I'm sure there will be other days like that when I'm a bit more flushed.

Just drove my car for the first time in a week and a half. Nothing important fell off so that is definitly an improvement over last time.

Unbelievably - tax man has agreed to leaving me breathing space until the thieving sheister accountants are held for their finangling with the accounts over the recent years. I highlighted it over a year ago - and have been paying massive fines since (thanks dudes) but light at end of tunnel after the firm I used declared bankruptcy (they were running an umbrella scheme to which I was not partaking) and ran for the hills....... Grump is waving goodbye to a lot of money the taxman didn't get - but grin that they wiped off over 30K on a bill - stress levels down a fair notch (for now at least).

Well I now know for certain that you do not need an mot to register an import if it is mot exempt, but the DVLA do spot checks on imports where they send a bloke round to inspect it exists and is what it is supposed to be.

Have you tried casting these videos from your phone when you go to bed before your wife does?

Not sure I know how to do that yet. I'm never in bed before but I could maybe do it from the bog.

The horn on the Blingo is mounted low down in the OS/F corner where it picks up all sorts of wet crap from the road.  It has failed - again - so I have bought one of these instead...

As my garage needs new fascias etc etc before I can fit a workbench for working on stuff I've decided to reverse that terrible trend of turning garages into spare rooms...

Looks like I bought just the right size kitchen, I didn't have this in mind at all. Honest*

Driving into our estate this afternoon a silver Honda CVR driving towards me,so what you say.

It looks a little strange.

The Honda grill had been replaced with a BMW grill.

Is this a new form of pineapple?
