Thanks squire!

Baby’s still in hospital with the Mrs, no issues, mainly just because she had a Caesarian section so kept in a few days so I’m enjoying my last days of freedom before they get home LOL

Congratulations Hendry! They grow up WAY too fast, so enjoy and savour every possible moment with them. I can't quite believe my little girl will be 4 next month!

Been getting REALLY annoyed with this laptop: slow, laggy and takes an age to do anything. I spent a few hours last night effing around with it - found it had a few problems: trojan viruses (X4!) and loads of other things, finally removed 81 separate things and today, it is running back to its usual Windows 10 shitness.

So that's good.

Also, the new medication 'seems' to be working :) Feel a load better physically: last night I felt ripe for a really dreadful night (pains etc) but it never developed to any great degree and so I was able to sleep without waking at ten minute intervals and I woke up at 8:00 this morning and actually felt okay! Been a LONG time since I woke up and didn't instantly want to go back to sleep or just curl up and die. Long may tis continue...

Oh, and big congrats on the birth of the next gen of Autoshiter :)

I went out to a broken down Vauxhall Movano belonging to Homeserve this morning it was still at the drivers home and displaying ''injection fault refer to workshop'' on its dash.

The Lad with it said it needed to go to the garage and i wouldn't be able to fix it...

He was probably right as Renault Diesel van and warning light usually equals recovery to workshop 99% of the time but i gave it a quick scan and pulled an exhaust temp sensor shorting fault code from it.

So i slid under it to look at the temp sensor and found this.

Good old Rodent / Fox damage.

Leccy tape followed by Gaffa tape and the scabby Vauxhall was on its way again.

Lad wasn't happy i think he was expecting a lazy day without his van.

Miles left in that!

How the hell does that happen anyway?

Our furry friends seem to like the taste of the material that covers automotive wiring.

I’m now daddy to a healthy, beautiful baby girl as of Friday morning, grin doesn’t even cover it! Absolutely fucking ecstatic, it’s such an amazing feeling I can’t begin to describe it. Anyone who’s ever had kids will know exactly what I mean, anyone who hasn’t it’s impossible to put it into words which would give you an idea of the feeling. :D :D :D

When our 1st daughter was born, my dad said to me "the first 30 years are the worst". At the time I thought he was joking.

I saw the Norwich version of Ghosty on the way home from work this evening.  Young chap rattling along on a mountain bike with a delivery backpack and an unnecessary amount of hair.

Bit of a strange engine choice....

Bet that will go well with some tweaks to the pump and boost

I guess Ford V4s are thin on the ground these days.

LDV seem to be having quite an impact here, I see them about somewhere most days. They have recently introduced a utility truck too.

Last night while at work an apparently blind young lady in a Chevrolet estate of some sort pulled out of a junction without looking or slowing down, it was a very very near miss, if she hadn't spotted me skidding sideways to a stop there would've been a bang. She reversed back into the junction, I stopped and inquired why she had just tried to kill me. She repeatedly said "Sorry sorry sorry", but just started trying to find an excuse ("I needed to sneeze") was my favourite. Since I was at work and didn't really have time to deal with idiots I got my phone from the car, took a photo of her plates, at which point she realised what was happening, hid her face, started shouting I was speeding and started filming me. I gave her a thumbs up, showed her my name badge and drove off. She followed, still holding her phone in her hand to film my car.

I decided it probably wasn't worth reporting since there wasn't any actual damage, though it does concern me she might do it again to some other poor sod who doesn't get to the brake in time. Except something wonderful happened about an hour ago.

I fell asleep on the sofa after a fairly heavy lunch, woke up to 4 missed calls from an unknown number, a text from my boss saying the police were looking for me, and a police van pulling up outside the house.

That's right, she dobbed herself in. The nice rozzer asked me to confirm that she'd pulled out in front of me, confirmed my details then went away. Apparently she came and showed the video to someone at the police station this morning. I'm not entirely sure what she expected, as it's just a video of a pizza delivery driver cheerfully walking away and getting in a shit old peugeot, with added evidence of the use of a handheld electronic device while driving on behalf of the cameraperson.

Cheered me right up that has.

Taken from the Saph? I'm sure that alarm LED is familiar.
