Finally got round to changing the front end on the Rover Asbo,

it's been sporting a nice little battle scar from when it belonged to Jim bell over 3 years ago and I've been a lazy arse not doing anything about it because, meh it works.

I've had the parts sitting here since April when Wingz123 kindly retrieved them from somewhere in the darkest Midlands for me and I got some new to me headlights and nightbreaker bulbs recently, so didn't really have any more excuses not to do it. Bugger!

So this happened today...

Which happily lead to this..

The panel gap is better than I expected after it's mishap.

This one's a bit tight, needs adjusting.

mmm bright lights.

I really do have a fondness for this little Rover Gti. They are a rare old thing now but unfortunately scarcity in these does not equate to value.

Double bugger.

Wow, thought that was long gone. Glad to see it's still about.

I do occasionally wish that I'd pulled my finger out and got my 200 VI back on the road - that was a fun little thing to cane around.  As usual I was spreading myself too thin at the time.

Is that the one that had a coming together with a multi story car park? Great work

I have occasionallythought about moving it on but if I did it would be roffled on here to keep it in the fold.

It's the very same,

I won it, used it for a bit then "sold" it to a mate on the condition that I got it back when he was bored with it, which happened last year.

It's still as reliable now as the day Mr Bollox did the HG, not that it's done many miles it's just about to clock 87k.

Something small and in serviceable condition will do for now.

The answer to that has been, is, and always will be - Jazz.

Pretty sure offside rear wheel bearing is going on the Mazda. Booked in at a local garage on Tuesday to check it out.

Are we going to run bets on who will have a BINI shit itself first? You or @Split_Pin ? Perhaps even @Jim Bell's racing car ebay special?

Also, I reckon BINIs are starting to prove their shit(e) credentials quite nicely round here lately.

Mine is already broken and stricken on the drive so I win.

That's a bit more ominous than the issues I am having with mine.

Perhaps we can change it to a 'Who Has  The Most Broken Bini' competition.

Its only a little bit, I'm just ignoring it until it kettles on my daughter then she can get something else.

Cooper Ss's are a bit more hardy if you believe the hype. So I bet mine makes it till the weekend.

Don't worry, I've kept the old wings just in case I ever do get rid of it and the new owner wants to return it to original JB spec.

Had a quick Google there, a lot less "chav" looking than the ZR. They must have been pretty rare

I thought the 25 and the ZR were the same era.  Pre ZR would be a 200vi

Totes would an BRM

I seem to remember there was a 25gti for a short time before the MG ZR came out

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong,

I was told they made something like 1500 of them between '99-'00 and if you believe HML there's about 150 surviving. On the Rover 25 gti forums and pages I've only spoken to 4 other people that have them.

@Mr_Bo11ox I'd love for you to have a go in this some time as you're the reason it's still alive. Maybe Shitefest next year if you're going?
