Sold some of my leftover Cavalier spares today, to the lucky owner of this beauty. Who currently own's four MK3 Cavaliers ! 

Was nice to know that my previous spares hoarding, is helping out other's. Trouble is, it left me thinking I want another one myself.  ?

I thought one of the street lights had gone on the blink but when I looked outside to see what was flickering it was lightning.

I'm in Central Scotland and through the night we had one of the worst thunderstorms I've ever seen.

I stayed up to 1am to film a nearby storm travelling north over Fife which is about about 30 miles north east of us .

This is a still from quarter to 1 in the morning.

I then went to bed and was awoken by constant lightning and thunder right overhead at around 2am. I've never seen that type of storm before, only on You Tube.

I love thunderstorms but even this was a little unnerving and my wife was petrified. My son wasn't too bothered.

More are forecast for today apparently, it's still really humid and the storms haven't cleared the air at all.

It's been absolutely apocalyptic in Aberdeen since about quarter to 7. I mean, more so than it is normally here.

Sheets of rain and more thunder and lightning than I've ever seen.

I've had nothong yet. About 7 miles away last night all hell broke loose apparently, I even made a coffee to be outside when it rolled over, nothing. 

Apparently we're due it later but it's said that for the last few days. Blazing hot here, I've just given the sunflowers 4l each

We'd a decent dose of rain and thunder last night. Woke up at 7, went down to the kitchen for a drink to spot the gobshite of a neighbor had left the roof down on his Megane cabrio. Whooops. I admire his confidence in early 2000s French electrics.

 Not a fkin drop of rain in Sussex, 30° at 8 o'clock last night, 25° at midnight, it was supposed to be the peak of a meteor storm last night, even that didn't happen. 

Back up to 28°, no car work gonna get done today ?

No thunder here yet.  It's just very warm and rather muggy.

I was woken up at some ungodly hour this morning though by military jets overhead - either on some kind of training mission or dogfighting with some Russkis or something.  The racket was unbelievable - the glass in my bedroom window was buzzing.  At one point they were so close I could hear the whine of the engines spooling up over the general earth-shattering roar of the exhausts.

Our turn down in Sussex will be tonight and tomorrow, the weekend and probably next week @mitsisigma01. I'm currently sweating myself dry during a 6-hour online job interview, Really, really happy that it wasn't happening yesterday!

I have a household aircon type unit in the storage /garage area.... 6 hours so far and I still can't get it out ??? tooo fkin hot to get to it..... Must have a clear out when it cools down... Found loads of tools that I thought I had lost??

It was a bit misty here early doors but it's burnt off now. Very, very humid though.

Looking over the next two weeks we must miss the storms.

There was something in the news a few days ago about it. I think that it's F15s from Lakenheath, they were certainly noisy around here.

I'm chilling out today.  I was thinking of an afternoon on a deck chair in the shade.

Yup, storms here last night too.

It's the time of year for them here though. Summer means lightning, almost daily.

My mate just bought this after we went to view a few. 10k seems like a lot of pennies for a 15 year old people carrier but it's very well specced and tidy. 

Things like this aren't really on my radar but it was what he wanted/needed now he can only drive autos and sometimes needs to take 6 or 7 people out. 

Paint is pretty cool having a green/purple flip over black. RWD/4X4 as required and 3.5V6 out of the 350Z

Coming back from work, neighbour asks me 'how many cars do you actually own?' before going on a mini rant about parking.

I reassured her that I normally have 2 at the flats, of which 1 is always left on the street so only 1 takes up a space. She seemed to mellow rather after that when she realised I'm generally human and reasonable about things. Phew.

Pretty biblical rain in Aberdeen this morning.  We were in Houston for hurricane Harvey where it rained 50" in a weekend and even by those standards it was quite impressive.

The news from Stonehaven is pretty tragic - 3 people dead now.

I've friends in Banchory and usually either go via the Cairn or the Slug Road - lovely on a springs day but I imagine a pretty remote part of the world in bad weather.

Think it was a 2001 around the £1200 figure. A bit older but a lot cheaper.

Dolly progress! So last week I retrimed the parcel shelf as it was full of holes and fitted some rear belts. 

I then changed all the under bonnet fuel pipes as they were perished and of them was even leaking. 

After all that I got the transmission tunnel of to investigate this clutch problem... 

What a mare, I decided that removing the gearbox was too much work for me so farmed the job out to a local mechanic I know, a friend was kind enough to deliver the car to the garage for me as he was passing. 

And then the garage got the box out, found the fault, replaced it all and finished in a day! 

It ended up being a snapped £9 cross shaft pin meaning the shaft was moving about so the fork wasn't working properly 

Costed £300 to sort so I'm not complaining, collected it this morning and drove it for the first time, it's brilliant! It goes like a train and is great fun, it needs some more work, the timing is well out, carbs need balancing, and the interior needs putting back together again but for now I'm happy to have a working classic again!

There was...it was an E50 model though rather than the E51 above.

That one is also 4wd which mine wasn’t but £10k does seem towards the higher end of the price range. Bloody nice looking thing though...
