Yeah, I've never been in a house with so few either. I did think the ring main might have been paired up, but appears that we only have one.

Immersion has gone as its a combi. Light circuit probably could have been split into two circuits, but then there is only 5 lights upstairs anyway. Smoke detectors are battery powered. Boiler off ring main.

Doesn't leave much else!

Garage feed unit will be fitted into the consumer unit as its easier + cheaper. Also will make it easy if anyone ever in the future wants to have an electric car charge point fitted too.

I have drunk two pints of ribena and one of milk. Just getting lunch out of oven; a chicken tikka pasty. Fuck Gregg's!

I'm burning, but it's not acid reflux.

I should probably stop posting pictures of my dinner, this not being the book of faces.

Now you take that back about Greggs. That offends my religional beliefs.

I've asked Specialist cars to sell the Bentley!

Got to say that sounds like a sensible idea.  Hopefully they can find some other misguided a good deal.

What next then?

No, abd not sorry. I could bring you a pasty too if you like? Tikka, or cheese and onion. (Or half and half)

New consumer unit fitted. No hitch in the circuits when tested in the end. Wahoo! Was worried considering the amount of bodging I found when I ever removed/replaced anything. Apparently some of the crimps behind the old consumer unit looked a bit suspect. All sorted now though.

Pretty simple circuits in this house! Admittedly its not the biggest of places anyway.

I commended him on his neat wiring job.

Also getting him back to fit a extractor in the bathroom and have a proper SWA 16a feed put into the garage. If we're still here next winter, it means I can safely* run a electric heater. Also no fear that a welder will take out the power either.

Red live & blue neutral? Where in the world is that from?

What next then?

Several houses in Bulgaria and hot and cold running maids to look after the dogs until the money runs out?

Bristol. We're a bit wierd down here. ;)

... House built in 1985, those red wires will be original tails from the circuits. Blue tail is new wires. I guess connected to my the original tails as they weren't long enough? EDIT: RCBOs, so those blue wires will be the return from them. Original black circuit wires will be going into the RCBO - you can just see them.

Old CU and wiring:

I've asked Specialist cars to sell the Bentley! Don't know if they will or not but they do know the car rather well seeing as I have spent £20K with them on the sod! I've been looking at values of Brooklands 'R's and they are all over the place from high teens (not turbo, none 'R') to £40K for a low mileage one, quite a few at 30 ish. Not really something I want to do to be honest, but I hardly ever use it (600 miles last year) and the garage it is in is a disaster and I want rid of the place. It's not worth the money or the hassle.

Also, it doesn't look at home sat outside here, and while I love it to bits, it costs a fortune to keep in good order and I cannot have this car in anythig other than perfect order. Also asked Watchfinders to value my daily watch, retail (new) is £5450 they say it's worth £6220. How does that work? I do need some cash, and I do need to move, sick of this damp cold hovel and it's time for me to get my life in order.

Of course, all this will change tomorrow.... :)

This all makes sense. Easy for me to say but if your not using it then it's a wise decision. I love a nice watch and you sir have a few. But I would rather be warm and happy with a cheap watch than cold and miserable with a box full of good ones. Again easy for me to say. Good luck with all this .

FYI there is a piece on the stolen 2cv on North West tonight (local BBC news) in a few mins.

I reckon they'll get 3/4 of the way through it before admin lock it and they have to quickly move to to the next item.

Just missed out on a car I didn't need or particularly want - but local and cheap

Sadly looks like it was bought by someone who isn't a Grade A Throbber (someone on here maybe ?) so no second chances

My neighbours have foolishly let me park a car on their drive, which means I can bring the Bini home this weekend - excitement.  I've owned it a month and still haven't set eyes on it, but I'm reassured by the 7-year unlimited mileage warranty I'm pretty sure JJ0063 said was included.

She sent me a picture of a picture, got to love auld yins and their technophobiness

I don't think it's too bad to do. I think it's just bolted on at the swing arm with 3 bolts a side. That's until you introduce the Panda factor of all the bolt heads being rounded, the captive nuts dislodging inside the body and the bolts snapping

Here's a picture from internet.

Hi, I'm a masochist.
I've seen something on eBay and have MASSIVE WANT.
I'm being stupid and I'll probably regret this, but...
Would anyone potentially want the Volvo?
