Saw those in booths earlier on. Going to have to try one now. I assume it's not just a solid lump of butter in a pastry shell?

Not that it'd necessarily be a bad thing if it was.....

I have bugger all spare time at present but if anyone gets themselves into the shit in South Shrops / North Herefordshire then give me a shout.  Plenty of tools, towing gear etc

Would quite like to borrow someone for a day in a month or two to re-commission the ADO16.  Would involve brakepipe fixing and bleeding and getting the sod to run etc  Most of this involves 3 hands 6 feet apart.

Location: West Yorkshire

Skillz and tools level: moderate

Willingness to help: high

Free time: minimal

Posted

Bristol Monday to Thursday evening, limited tools but excellent sucking-air-through-teeth skills.

Posted

I'm in East Linc's near to skegness, plenty of tools, time served spanner monkey and soon to be mot tester.

Posted

Congleton, east Cheshire/Staffs/Derbyshire border

Skill level - don't know what I'm capable of till I try, then when I've broken something, I know I'm capable of breaking it

Some tools (timing light, eezi bleed, clutch alignment tool, balljoint separator, cheap Chinese pullers etc. etc.)

Some enthusiasm (tempered with a fair amount of pessimism)

Fresh out of cormorants, but have plenty of linseed oil

@Lankytim - I can give a few hours on Saturday in Stoke - let me know what tools might be helpful

Located West Fife

Offered 4 poster, welding, basic tools, tyre machine.

Usually around on Fridays for some kind of spannering.

Posted

Located: The Moray/Aberdeenshire border, on the coast.

Offered: Not particularly flat off road parking, a selection of random cheap Imperial tools/jacks/ramps/axle stands, a cheap stick welder I can't really use, cups of tea, a lack of upper body strength. I'll also say helpful things while fixing cars like "that's well fucked" and "This is a waste of life" and have an endlessly optimistic view on life*.

I can also fling stuff in the boot of the Honda and motor around the local area if somebody has the misfortune of breaking down in this drab and dreary land where it's always raining and is 4,000 miles from the nearest hint of civilisation.

Wanted: Nothing in particular, car is borked but in a variety of ways that all come together to prevent each other from being completed in any reasonable time frame or price.

Location: East Devon.

Skillz: Probably not as good as I think.

Tools: can never find what I want, or ever remember if I still have it after last house move / lending to X / insert random reason for tool loss.

Problems: My E30 is sat in the garage not doing very much 'cos it defies all attempts to get it to run correctly.( MOT now expired as well).

I'm in Helston, we should have a tinkering day one day!

I've got plenty of tools, most of them garbage, fairly average knowledge base, but very willing.

Will help anyone in South Cornwall who needs it.

My application for Top Gear was turned down.

If you have boughted chod in the Northamptonshire area and the seller is unwilling to store it, I would be happy to have a drive ornament for a few days (as long as I could transport it legally) and provide station-based collektionings of your person and transportation to the acquired chod.

South Lanarkshire. Basic tools & knowledge but willing to get stuck in. Tea/coffee available.

If someone's willing to help me get this Citroen sorted at some point I can repay with tea, biscuits and other baked goods, tobacco and kind words. I'm also always happy to help out others, if only to broaden my experience of doing mechanical work (I'm hopeless at it at the moment).

North London, bit of Essex, Herts too.

Tools: fair bit of old car and modern car spannery stuff.

Jack, axle stands, genny and stuff.

Car cleaning stuff too.

Access to a decent bacon sandwich supplier, kebab shops and a Greggs.

Skill level: shit to fair. Happy to assist and swear a lot. Also quite good at hitting things and raising eyebrows knowingly, a bit like Roger Moore before he died.
