Finchley backstreets. There's usually a bread van Polo parked in front of these two.

I've often thought 'guess what's under the tarpaulin' would make a good thread

This is one of those things that has disappeared almost completely, certainly around here:

Looks totally solid and I've seen it around a bit, it seems to be still making an honest living.

Owner had the bonnet up earlier and was doing some tinkering. There's nothing about this I don't like

There's a similar one on a driveway in Sarratt that's been off the road for years. I must ask my horse to stand whilst I take a photo the next time we hack past. The owner runs a W-plated Saab 9-3, so might be a closet shiter. His friends sometimes visit with some very high-powered cars, though....

Hacking out always gives much more opportunity to spot chod, the slower pace and lofty perch is ideal...

My ability to make my steed stand to order is probably not as good as yours though TT, he's willful.

Look at this, what happened to car design over the last 20 years?

Even though I'm already over capacity I struggled to not wait for the owner and make him an offer for this, I'd polish it up for free, it's such a good looking car.

I've often thought 'guess what's under the tarpaulin' would make a good thread but never quite got round to taking any pictures because unless you know the answer the game won't really work and if you're caught peering under the tarp on someone's drive you're going to have some explaining to do. And I don't think "we're playing a game on a shit car forum" is going to endear you to the disgruntled owner.

I think there's been a couple of 'Cat piss tarp challenge' threads over the years.

I've snuck a look under a couple I've been unsure of but would be fully prepared to get a gobby mouthful off the owner if I was caught.

Seen in the Waitrose car park today, not your usual vehicle you'd expect to find there - a well used Peugeot 309

Thanks, I never knew that. Doesn't seem a very busy thread though does it? I'll bear it mind next time I see something.

Remember* in the news section I said I knew of the location of an electric Fluence? No I did not - I seem to know the location of the only dizzle Fluence in the country according to HML. Brought over in 2014 (2010 car).

Oh and here is a Morris Minor being daily driven by a country lady of a certain age who I normally see walking her dogs...like it's about 1985.

Wonder if that's the same Dacia I saw in MK a couple of years ago.  Caused me a significant double take as I had absolutely no idea what it was at the time.  For a car of that sort of age that was a significant surprise for me.
