Hmm, showing last V5 issued in Dec 2019, hence my thinking it had changed hands then.  Maybe that's when they started to bring it out of hibernation.

It used to be orange when it was in use as a mobile church, punching the reg into Google will bring up several photos.

Yeah, perhaps they just lost the last V5 or had some details on it updated etc :)

The Galue is rather attractive compared to that X1.  Damning with faint praise for sure, but only one of these two cars deserves fuel.

Allagro which lives near me, often seen the driver out and about and given a wave. There's another on a driveway.

@Zelandeth, I think that bus thing that you've found was the subject of a thread on the blue, it was going really cheap or free, something like that.

Or maybe I'm wrong.

Now I like these but that's grimmer than a Womens Weekly.

Spotted this Humber that looks like it's teleported from the set of Get Carter

curiosity got the better of me so I shoved it into my special tool
comes back as an iveco Ford Cargo 0709 if that means anything? (keep in mind this is a 3rd party tool so this part might be a bit wonky!)
and here's the keeper details, 0 colour changes it says, but in the MOT checker it comes back as orange! (but otherwise I find the keeper count is always pretty accurate)

curiously its body type is "specially fitted van" I have not seen that body type before now!

Looks like a mobile library or mobile bank

4.2 means XK straight six. But it’s none the worse for that.

WTO 50Y is quite well-known, and I think has featured in at least one magazine in the past. The years have clearly not been kind to it.

Was the Alpina E24 on an E-prefix plate and badged as a B10 3.5? If so, I think I might know which one it is......

The Traction now has a nice new battery and is all lubed up so I took it out for some essential supplies and found this gloriously faded Nova which pleased me very much. Not least because of the Shere Hill Climb sticker.

Whatever happened to seeing cars with this kind of damage around frequently? I remember it being common in the  80s, I'd guess it's perhaps slight knocks now generally renders modern cars unusable and unable to be bodge repaired.

Posted

Probably a combination of more owners used to have 3rd party insurance so just kept shite running and nowadays insurance companies writing things off even if someone's only farted on it and modern shite seems to crumple too expensively easy

Posted

Also modern cars the bumpers are plastic usually, so slight bumps may do damage behind but the bumper springs back into place. Years back they designed cars so the front or rear end was solid to protect the passengers, but all it did was move the damage further back, the A post area was always a weak spot so it kinked there, or on a saloon it would break it's back at the C post. Now days they are designed so cabin is solid and front and rear end are the crumple areas, so when you see a relatively small accident and the front ends have desintrigated, it's all bolt on stuff.
