  1. Hale shoma chetoreh, Shahin ! đź‘€ we are all awaiting your video, many thanks! đź‘Ť
  2. AAaargh..... the Bis engine is a disaster.... walk away ! stick to air cooled versions : )
  3. Christ, are Blingoes (or other modern crap) this bloody com pli cated ?? frightening... ? quote...... Had a 12 plate Berlingo van dragged in last week that was turning over but refusing to fire. It had run very low on fuel apparently and cut out as it pulled into the filling station but then wouldn’t start after filling. The primer pump was stuck on the filter head and wouldn’t release so a new filter was fitted but still no joy. Live data was showing that the key would synch through RF when the lock/unlock button was pressed but no transponder code read and engine ECU locked which led me to believe that the BSI/ECU had somehow dropped the key code due to excessive cranking leading to a flat battery but upon checking the key on a code grabber showed no signal at all.
  4. Those Escort Bantam bakkies are lovely little things, I cannot understand why Ford UK never imported them, maybe would have slowed sales of SA built P100's ? Put two in your suitcases, Alan, I'll have one ! Your office is in Joeys then, I used to live there, back in the days.....
  5. Nigel, you may be VERY interested in this copy/pasted email that I received yesterday, after forwarding this thread link to a friend in the Caribbean.... ? "Didn’t you ever hear the crazy tail about the unsold Sao Penzas in N W England that were sent to Northern Ireland ....about a dozen of them. A year or two later this Guy from St Kitts came across them ...10 still unsold by now in a farmers barn in Co Fermanagh. He bought them as a job lot for tiddly winks, and sent them home to St Kitts in exchange for two or three maybe four unsold De Lorean cars....well he had a to make some money SOMEHOW ..., ! Having failed to sell on St Kitts 5 were broken for spares to keep or get the other 5 going, so effectively a buyer bought one in running condition and the other for use as spares. That got rid of 2 or maybe 3 ...the others went to Nevis where they languished at TDC for a number of years....unsold. Somebody at TDC whose family hailed from Barbuda, rounded them ALL up, there was some crooked/bizarre West Indian deal concerning a ferry...two were driven aboard, the rest loaded with a backhoe and the whole lot sent to Barbuda....under cover of darkness....it was Vital that the Antiguan authorities knew absolutly nothing....NO DUTY.... Then came the devastating Hurricane....amazingly one survived.....and was last heard of being taken to Cuba....along with a load of black & white TV sets..."
  6. Having lived/worked in Sarf Efrica for some time, I am very aware of the curious S.A. variants and unique vehicles produced there, so I can safely say I have seen another imported Penza, initially on SA plates, then re-registered on UK plates, driving round Bournemouth suburbs by a young lady, it must have been her daily, as I would often see it turn at lights on the A348. Hello Nigel, and "well done" !
  7. Thanks, Bfg.... What an absolutely STUNNING thread, so much detail, I have only skimmed through it right now, needs re-reading more slowly, to absorb all the details..... ! Keep up the good work, my past was involved with Sunbeam Tigers, but a friend had a nice TR5 which used to adequately keep up with my spirited driving, in the pre-camera era

  9. Congratulations Junkman. I know you really wanted that !
  10. Great fun car, used to drive the GF's silver one, reg ended in 19X..... ah, ULC 19X likened it to a ballet shoe, fitted perfectly and was like a go kart, just needed the 2 liter twin cam engine really. 10/10 (anyone got a set of those three-spoke alloys WITH CENTER CAPS!!) for my 900e ????)
  11. Hmmm, Dis-a-pointed...... I thought you meant a REAL "Multipla" ......600c and going backwards. (someone please post up a decent pic for me, cheers, and Merry Berry)
  12. It's from CORNWALL. everything down here is covered in verdigris. continual rain
  13. Anyone have an opinion on the low power 1400cc petrol version ??? I have been admiring Blingoes for some time now as a practical daily, with lots more carrying capacity than a 1 litre A to Z....... I seem to surrounded by early 2003 plate blingoes, but road tax at ÂŁ265 rather puts me off....
