As ever a super day out! Great to catch up with those I’ve met before and to make some new acquaintances too!

The trowel painted Caddy, the 207 which looked like it had been mended with putty, the Relay which was pissing water everywhere, the ‘carbon fibre’ bonnet X5, and the 2 cylinder Ibiza showed the high quality of the rammel up for grabs.

But a battered Kia Carens with MoT for £125 was a true bargain!
And I managed to keep my bidding arm in check... just about!

Already looking forward to the next time chaps!

I shall be attending this soiree of dubious entertainment and have
some tat that others may be interested in. I've got a big eff off vice sold
to  sofarsogood but I've also got a couple of old metal oil measuring jugs,
(Castrol, Shell, half gallon), Jerry can, small grease gun, cage light for keeping
you company while under your heap classic, some clip on lights and some
other bits. Nothing above the price of 4 beers.
See youz at the Truckers. Mmmm Bacon !

Possible "logbook loan" bullshit. A loan secured on the car. One would hope a HPI check would pick this up, but maybe not in this case. Best of luck Vince70

From this snapshot of the letter and a small amount of speculation from people who are not necessarily up to speed on the law, or indeed anything that is going on in this case, I think I can say with absolute conviction that this is something I've seen many many times before.

This car obviously used to 'belong' to Samantha Fox. She pulls this kind of shit all the time. It's not just limited to her, other page 3 girls do it too. Linda Lusardi, Jo Guest etc but she is the main culprit.

She'll spot a car she fancies and she says she used to own it. She gets away with it because Cathy Lloyd works at the DVLA and fudges the records to make it look like Sam was a previous owner. On top of that Maria Whittaker works for the police and is an expert in falsifying backdated crime reports.

Donal Macyntyre was doing an in depth report on it but forgot that he was absolutely shit and got nowhere, as someone stole his brain and replaced it with a inflated sense of self importance years ago, hence why it's still being allowed to continue.

You won't be the first and won't be the last to fall foul of these wrinkly temptresses.

I appreciate that you all hate Volkswagens, but I've had mine since 1996 and last week it failed its MOT on a rotten front beam.
In fairness it was forty years old and I've been aware of its state for a couple of years.

Anyhoo, took it off, and beat it to death with a big hammer...

And fitted a brand new one from Creative Engineering

Sofa has first dibs on the Faraday book - I think it’s details of his experiments, possibly even a reprint of something he wrote in the 1800s. It’s a ‘Everyman’s library’ copy from the 1950s.

Sorry, was just registering interest and I'd imagine three decades being a big enough stack for lots of dibses. I can't think of any months/years off the top of my head that I want more than others so happy just to pick at the dregs of what's left once known

You can make your Google Drive accessible to all, just put all the scans in a folder and make it public. Send the link out and Bob's your freely accessible uncle.
Downside is that it doesn't really do thumbnails or anything, it looks more like just a folder full of filenames. Flickr is probably a better bet for "browsing".

Does give me an idea about a library hosted on this site, using some sort of gallery browser....

As a side note. Anyone going to run a £7 roffle for the unknown car purchase like last time.
That would put just over £400 in the kitty, to see if you can get Billy a matching pug convertible or similar.
